chance of winning this October’s
Twenty20 World Cup in Australia,
even though their recent form has
seen them slump in the international

West Indies are the lowest ranked
of all the major Test-playing nations
at 10th in the rankings, only above

No salary cuts
for West Indies
By Azad Ali
Cricket West Indies President, Ricky
Skerritt has assured players there are
no immediate plans to cut their retainer
contracts, as the novel COVID-18

tours, which has slashed revenues and
prompted debate as to whether pay cuts
should be considered for elite cricketers
. Recently England’s cricketers opted
to give up 20 percent of their retainers
for the next three months, as part of the
England and Wales Cricket Board funding
of a 500 pounds sterling donation to
fight the disease.
