Cricket West Indies
(CWI) said there will be free
entrance to spectators for the
2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket
World Cup, once approvals
are granted by the respective
government host countries,
Trinidad and Tobago,
St. Kitts and Nevis, Guyana
and Antigua and Barbuda.
This was disclosed by
Tournament director Fawwaz
Baksh during a virtual
media briefing recently.
He said all of the matches
that is being hosted will be
free of charge.
The World Cup will take
place from January 14 to
February 5.
“We have started discussion
with the government’s
of each one of the host countries
regarding only vaccinated
fans allowed to the
venues,” Baksh said.
“It’s a concern for the ICC,
but West Indies have hosted
tournaments in the covid
environment since 2020.”
