Sunday, Oct. 24. 2021 Korean Festival:
The Korean American Association
of Greater New York is hosting
its annual Korean Festival. Festivities
include traditional Korean dancing and
musical performances, K-pop, a Taekwondo
exhibition, Korean crafts, calligraphy,
all sorts of amazing food and
Dalgona from the hit TV show “Squid

Obama Portraits Lunch Experience
Description: Indulge all your senses
with an afternoon of art and food produced
by the Brooklyn Museum and
Great Performances, which operates the
museum’s on-site full service restaurant,
The Norm. You’ll view The Obama
Portraits Tour during the exhibition’s
sold-out last weekend, then savor an
exclusive lunch at The Norm with Jane
Dini, Andrew W. Mellon Senior Curator,
American Art, who will give a talk
about the exhibit and conduct a Q&A.
Your meal will begin with cocktails
from the popular Prospect Heights bar
Ode To Babel, featuring the essence of
the flowers in the background of President
Barack Obama’s portrait. An exciting
four-course lunch will follow, cocreated
by The Norm’s award-winning
executive chef Kavon William Langley
and his mentor, Charmain Sithappah,
chef and owner of Brooklyn’s The Seasoned
Pot. Menu highlights include
Durban Cauliflower Curry with Bunny
Chow and Red Snapper Thieboudienne
(a Senegalese spice blend and tomato
preparation) with Netetou (akin to
China’s fermented black beans), Seasonal
Vegetables and Broken Rice. A
wine pairing by the Brooklyn-based
Highly Recommended wine club will be
available for an additional $45 per person.
The Obama Portraits Tour viewing,
1-2 pm, lunch, 2-3:30 pm. Tickets are
$130 for exhibit admission and lunch.

Film Festival Description: We are so
excited to announce that tickets to the
14th Annual Bushwick Film Festival
are now available! This year the festival
is scheduled for Oct. 20 – 24 and
presents a hybrid rendition returning
to live screenings and special events
alongside our virtual screenings and
panels. The newest addition to the
