Jamaican American (Jamerican)
actor Nick Creegan, who has
a major recurring role on “Law
and Order: Organized Crime” on
Tuesday received the 2022 Blue &
Bougie Impact Award.
According to Jamaican Anthony
Turner, Blue & Bougie executive,
Creegan was presented with the
award by Bronx Councilman, Kevin
Riley at a press brunch at Coffee Bay
Restaurant in the Bronx.
Turner said this was Creegan’s
first major award since becoming a
full-time actor in 2018.
He said Creegan was also presented
with a “Certificate of Appreciation”
by Mt. Vernon Mayor Shawyn
Patterson-Howard.
“I do what I do for my community;
and to know that my people
recognize me is really, really nice,”
Creegan told Caribbean Life after
the ceremony. “It feels amazing.”
Turner said Creegan, whose
mother is from Jack’s River in in
the Parish of St. Mary in Jamaica,
was hired by TV mogul Oprah Winfrey
soon after her team saw a video
sketch Creegan created in a Jamaican
accent about oxtail gravy that
went viral.

to Kingston, Jamaica-based Headline
Entertainment.

empowered, Jamaican-born, singer
songwriter Hoodcelebrityy is set to
get fans dancing in parties again with
“Catch It.”
Brooklyn-based Jamaican entertainment
publicist Ronnie Tomlinson, chief
executive officer of Destine Media, Inc.,
told Caribbean Life that “Catch It,” produced
by Trackstarr, who also produced
“Walking Trophy”, has a “catchy hook
and is reminiscent of the 2000’s dancehall
scene.”
