LIBRARIES SUSPEND PUBLIC
PROGRAMMING
In support of the City’s efforts
to limit the spread of Novel Coronavirus
(COVID-19), all New York
City public libraries are suspending
public programming, outreach
activities and community
room rentals from Friday, March
13 until Tuesday, March 31. Details
can be found on our website

The decision to cancel library
programs was not taken lightly.
Programs such as storytimes,
technology training classes, and
English language classes are
lifelines for so many. But considering
Coronavirus Impact - News You Need To Know
the current situation, and
the need to mitigate the spread of
COVID-19 by limiting public gatherings,
this was the most responsible
path forward to support the
health and well-being of our communities.
LEHMAN CENTER
SEASON ON HOLD
The Lehman Center for the
Performing Arts is rescheduling
its March performances. Lehman
Center staff will be in touch with
ticket-holders about their options
for the rest of the season in the
coming weeks. “The safety of our
staff and patrons remains a top
priority, and we will continue to
monitor COVID-19 developments
to determine when it makes sense
for us to resume large gatherings
that involve our community partners.”
President Lemons said.
If ticket-holders cannot attend
the new date of the performances,
they may exchange their tickets
for any other show this season, or
next season.

Due to the escalating Coronavirus
(COVID-19) health crisis
taking place nationally and
around the world, Nos Quedamos’
is reviewing the option of
working remotely and closing our
offi ce to the public, as required.
MASSES CANCELED
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
All public Masses are canceled
beginning Saturday, March
14, until further notice. This includes
Sunday Masses as well as
weekdays. Churches will remain
open for private prayer.
Funerals and weddings will
be permitted but should be limited
to family members only. If
families are worried about coming
to church, the burial could
take place fi rst, with a memorial
Mass celebrated at a later date.
Parish baptism celebrations
should be limited to family only
if they cannot be postponed.
Mass will be celebrated in St.
Patrick’s Cathedral, and will be
available on many cable systems
via the Catholic Faith Network
and its website at www.catholicfaithnetwork.
org, live-streamed
on the St. Patrick’s Cathedral
website at www.saintpatrickscathedral.
org/live, and broadcast
on radio on The Catholic Channel
of Sirius XM (Channel 129).
Parish business offi ces may
remain open.
It is strongly advised that
all precautions should be taken
when the family is visiting and
when a priest is anointing the
sick at home, in nursing homes,
and hospitals. Protective clothing
and gear should be worn as
directed by medical professionals
at these facilities.
ST. HELENA CHURCH
TO LIVE STREAM
The Piarist Fathers will celebrate
three private Masses
each day at St. Helena Catholic
Church so that all weekday
Mass intentions will be covered.
Two Masses will be livestreamed
on its Facebook Page
at 9 a.m. in English and 5 p.m. in
Spanish.
NYBG CLOSES AS
A PRECAUTION
New York Botanical Garden
is temporarily closed to support
New York City’s effort to contain
the spread of COVID-19. The
safety of its staff and visitors is
othe garden’s top priority,.
During this period, thed staff
will continue to provide expert
care for our living collections
and the Garden’s 250-acre landmark
landscape until we reopen.
All events and programs, including

SEPULVEDA CLOSES
DISTRICT OFFICE
Due to the ongoing coronavirus
pandemic, the offi ce of State
Senator Luis Sepulveda will be
closing his district offi ce starting
this Monday, Match 16. Thestaff
will continue to serve District
32 with high-quality constituent
services remotely.
VCP CANCELS ALL
PROGRAMMING
To reduce the spread of Coronavirus
(COVID-19), Van Cortlandt
Park Alliance will be canceling
all of our programs until
further notice. During this time,
the staff will be working from
home and will be available via
email to answer any questions
that you have.
Van Cortlandt Park along
with other NYC parks remains
open.
