workspace opens in the Bronx

Salamanca Jr., development partners
and community members marked the
completion of a new workspace facility
in the Bronx with a ribbon cutting.
The tenants will include bakers, retail
CPG food brands, coffee roasters, caterers
and more.

On Dec. 3, McDonald’s at 875 Garrison Ave., held its grand re-opening. The
fi rst 100 cars in the drive-thru from 11:30 a.m. received a t a Golden Ticket good
for 10 Free Big Macs valued at over $60.
They will be offering the same midday madness holiday promotion at the
1515 Williamsbridge Road McDonald’s on Dec. 17 to the fi rst 100 cars in the
drive-thru from 3:30 p.m. on.

The New York Public Library’s Morrisania branch in the Bronx reopened
on Monday, Dec. 6 after being closed since March 13, 2020 with opening day programming,
including a scavenger hunt. Morrisania was closed for repairs to
the HVAC system, improvements to the fl oors, repainting and updates to the
computers. The branch hosted programs that day including a welcoming table
and a scavenger hunt. The branch services include free programs for children,
teens and adults, browsing and holds pickup, return to pre-pandemic computer
and laptop use and free Wi-Fi. Masks are mandatory for all patrons.
