BRONX TIMES REPORTER,BTR OCTOBER 16-22, 2020 11
Morris Park BID Starts Horticulture and Landscaping Work on Morris Park Avenue
The Morris Park BID is happy to announce our first horticulture project on the Morris Park Avenue commercial corridor,
that started on October 1, 2020 on Morris Park Avenue, executed by The Horticultural Society of New York. 126 tree pits
along Morris Park Avenue will be cleaned, aerated, and mulched this fall, and 49 guarded tree pits will be cleaned and
prepared for planting of ornamental plants both in the fall and in spring. We much appreciate the community support to
keep Morris Park Avenue tree pits clean. Pet owners, please respect public sanitation requirements and dispose
appropriately of any droppings in trash receptacles!
Welcome to New Business – Tasty Choice, 704 Morris Park Avenue!
The Morris Park BID warmly welcomes our 9th new business opening this year: Tasty Choice at 704 Morris Park Avenue, at the south
east corner with White Plains Road! With a 10 pages menu, of classic American and Middle Eastern meats and sandwiches, fresh salads,
fruits and vegetable smoothies, Tasty Choice is also featuring a beautifully renovated interior. In their words...”a Middle Eastern
restaurant blended with New York City seasoning, just like the multi-cultures of NYC. Adding a modern touch to the traditional recipes”.
Thanks to all community residents supporting our local Morris Park and Van Nest businesses!
We are humbled and grateful to all local community residents that support Morris Park businesses, and to all elected
representatives and NYC agencies helping our work to keep a clean, safe and prosperous commercial corridor, that serves the
community! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @MPBID
