As for this March 3rd Sunday
post meeting, it will be
at TN Memorial Post 1456.
10:30am coffee, 11am meeting,
12 noon snacks, afterward,
more indepth discussions!
Virus protocols still
apply. Thank you Commander
Joe and staff.
I heard from our Joe F., SAL
about a support group pawsofwar.
org, helping both the vets
and the dogs! Check them out.
There is also an equestrian
therapy outfi t (that’s horses),
GallopNYC, that deals with assisting
persons with disabilities
and PTSD.
Nice to see you folks remotely
but nothing like an old
fashioned Legion meeting! I
suppose we’ll adapt for now, we
have a serious obligation. We’ll
let you know about April.
I have not heard from the
RTM (new PTSD treatment)
folks, remember the pamphlets
I handed out? Guess I’ll have to
call them?
I’ve been sending out info,
newsletters, etc. from the Dept.
of NY Adjutant, VA, Media Association,
SAL and so on. Lots
of good info. If you like, send
your email address to me Tonysalmail@
gmail.com and I’ll
add you. Only Navy, Marines
and Coast Guard will get special
eStories…only kidding.
That’s YouTube, has some
great stuff. Is your unit or
MOS featured?
Again, as a PPC and PCC,
I want to remind all out there
of the fi ne work our 253 Auxiliary
Unit has been doing during
one of the worst times in
our recent history, sending
their special boxes (not just
“goodies”). Thousands sent
overseas! Morale and support
from home is most important,
Thank You Again. Told ya, the
Legion is not just another bar.
Oh, our Past Commander
Guy and First Vice Kevin got
their condo involved in collecting
needed items for our
troops too, nice idea.
Until Next Time: “We
pray for those who guard the
public trust, that they may
discharge their duties honestly
and well.” No comment,
keep praying..

When do we say enough?
“Armed terrorists invaded
capitol”, has been headlines
for months. We have National
guard troops in Washington
and barbed wire fences and
claims of an invasion. Why
were no guns found and the
only shots fi red were by a Capitol
police offi cer who shot an
unarmed woman? What happened
all agree was a disgrace,
that’s a given however to politicize
it is a disgrace. Portland
Oregon has been taken over
by anarchist and no one cares.
Have you heard anything about
it from the news media? Why
not? Why were over 100 illegal
immigrants who tested positive
for Covid caught and released
into our communities? Is it a
good idea for The President of
The United States to tell people
“if you get here, we won’t send
you back? Why is it that the
last four Presidents have said
we must curb illegal immigration
and now we seem to be embracing
it? Why do American
basketball players kneel during
our National Anthem yet
stand for the Chinese national
anthem; a country whose human
rights abuses are legendary?
Why can an anonymous
whistle blower trigger an impeachment
of a President, yet
a witness who comes forward
about the President’s questionable
dealings with China go
unchallenged? Why does the
story of The Three Pigs have to
be eliminated because it’s “to
violent” yet Hollywood movies
become more and more violent
each year and children’s video
games are fraught with violence?
Why has eBay pulled 6 of
Dr. Seuss’s books and deemed
that they portray some ethnicities
negatively yet Hitlers
Mein Kompf and the Turner
Diaries, popular with White
supremacist groups, are not
touched? Why were teachers
one of the fi rst to get Covid vaccines
yet refuse to go back to
school? Why do private schools
have in person schooling with
no ill effects? Why are houses
of worship limited to the number
of worshipers that can attend
services, yet thousands
of illegal immigrants are welcomed
without face coverings
or practicing safe distancing?
Why were the holding areas
for children called cages during
one administration and
the same facilities called shelters
in another? Why are billions
sent overseas to help the
needy when our inner cities
are suffering from poverty, ill
health, poor education, and
homelessness? Why is it OK
for politicians to tell people
they wouldn’t trust any vaccine
coming out of Washington
then be the fi rst ones to be vaccinated
and then claim minorities
are being underserved?
Maybe it’s because they put
the idea in their heads that it
was unsafe. Why are tech giants
so powerful they can decide
what we see or don’t see
in a country that was founded
on free speech and why are
our elected offi cials allowing
it to happen? Why can’t we the
American people decide what
we choose to read? Do we really
need the government to
tell us what’s best for us? Why
did the State Senate Majority
leader say she wouldn’t ask
the Governor to step down until
at least 4 women come forth
to accuse the Governor? What
happened to the “Me-Too”
movement? Finally, why does
the President of The United
states talk about transparency
yet refuse to have a press
conference?
