Willen Pharmacy: COVID
testing in high demand
Willen Pharmacy, located at 3800
E. Tremont Ave. in the Bronx, started
COVID testing for families to enjoy
the holidays safely.
Rushdan Islam, pharmacist, said
COVID testing was in such high demand
he had to rent out a temporary
space at the Throgs Neck Animal
Hospital to continue his testing operations.
Attendees who stood in line
at this early January one-time testing
event, sponsored by the Throgs Neck
BID, NYC Health + Hospitals and Test
& Trace Corps #GetTestedThursday,
realized that Willen Pharmacy
had another testing site six feet away
at the Throgs Neck Animal Hospital
calling relatives and friends who
were unable to attend the Throgs
Neck BID’s event.
