ELECTEDS CELEBRATE GARIFUNA HERITAGE
On Tuesday, March 10, Senator Luis Sepulveda celebrated Garifuna Heritage Month with other elected offi cials, before social distancing. Sepulveda and other electeds sponsored a Senate
resolution last year proclaiming March as Garifuna-American Heritage Month.
Sepulveda joined assembly members Karines Reyes and Michael Blake, along with other members of the Garifuna community to celebrate Garifuna-American Heritage Month.
TNCAP TEACHING HOW TO ASSIST YOUNG
ADULTS WITH PERSONALITY DISORDERS
A Throggs Neck Community Action Partnership meeting was held earlier this month to teach
those in attendance how to help young adults who are struggling and dealing with anxiety,
depression, drug use and other issues. The meeting was led by Stephanie Marquesano,
founder of The Harris Project and the annual Co-Occurring Disorders Awareness walk.
