40th Precinct
Tuesday, January 28 at 12:15 p.m. – An unidentified
individual entered a jewelry store located
at 393 E. 149th Street and asked to look at merchandise.
The individual proceeded to remove a
necklace and cross from the location and fled the
store. While he was fleeing, the suspect knocked
over an adult customer who was inside the store.
Thursday, February 6 at 10:50 p.m. – A 46-
year old male victim was attempting to enter 415 E.
138th Street when he was approached from behind
by an unidentified male. The male displayed a firearm
and demanded the victim’s money, who was
able to open the door and enter the location, before
the unidentified male fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was not injured during the incident and
no property was removed.
Friday, February 14 at 6:36 p.m. – Police responded
to a call of an assault inside of 217 Brook
Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious
and unresponsive 34-year old male victim
inside of the location with multiple gunshot wounds
to the torso. EMS responded and transported the
victim, later identified as Yahya Almuntser, to NYC
Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced
deceased. No arrests have been made
and the investigation is ongoing.
41st Precinct
Tuesday, February 4 at 4:30 a.m. – Two individuals
approached a 28-year old male victim from
behind in front of 1003 E. 163rd Street, punched
him in the face and knocked him down to the pavement.
The males took the victim’s cellphone and
earphones before they fled westbound on Simpson
Street. Both males are described to be hispanic,
5’7” and approximately 150 pounds.
Sunday, February 9 at 12:45 p.m. – A 30-year
old male victim got into a verbal dispute with two
individuals, a male and a female, which escalated
into a physical altercation. The female began to
strike the victim about the torso with a baseball bat
as the male began to punch the victim about the
head and face. The two individuals then fled on foot
to parts unknown. EMS responded and transported
the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in
stable condition with pain and bruising about the

42nd Precinct
Thursday, February 13 at 5:20 p.m. – A 19-
year old male was approached by two unidentified
males who questioned his identity. One of the male
proceeded to produce a sharp object and slashed
the victim’s left ear and cheek. The two males then
fled the location in an unknown direction. The victim
sustained lacerations and was transported by
EMS to BronxCare Health System in stable condition.
43rd Precinct
Saturday, February 15 at 6:30 a.m. – The
NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating
17-year old Simoya Cargill who was last seen inside
her Noble Avenue residence. She is described as
being approximately 5’6”, 155 pounds with a thin
build, brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen
wearing eye glasses, a brown jacket, blue jeans,
a lavender sweater, white sneakers with black
stripes and an orange purse.
Tuesday, February 18 at 2:45 p.m. – A 14-
year old male victim was approached by three unidentified
males inside of a playground located at
1490 Sheridan Expressway. The males displayed
a knife, struck and kicked the victim numerous
times about the head and body before removing
his ear buds. The victim was removed to St.
Barnabas Hospital with redness and scrapes to
the face.
Tuesday, February 18 at 9:25 p.m. – An 18-
year old male victim was stopped at a traffic light on
his e-bike on the corner of Beach and Westchester
avenues when an unidentified male pushed him off
the bike. A second male mounted the bike and both
males fled the location in unknown direction with
two other individuals on another e-bike.
44th Precinct
Friday, February 9 at 2 a.m. – A 53-year old
victim was approached by two unidentified individuals
while he was walking home. One of the individuals

grabbed the victim from behind and restrained
him while the second individual went through his
pocket and removed his property valued at approximately
$1,350. The two suspects then fled in an
unknown direction.
Friday, February 14 at 7:30 a.m. – The NYPD
is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 17-
year old Haniery Tejada Espinal, who was last seen
at her Summit Avenue residence. She is described
as hispanic, 5’3” and 120 pounds with brown eyes
and brown hair.
45th Precinct
Tuesday, February 25 – 23-year old Jose
Mendez was arrested and charged with attempted
murder in connection to an incident that occurred
on the morning of Saturday, August 31 when he allegedly
approached a 37-year old in front of 2430
East Tremont Avenue where he brandished a firearm
and shot the victim in both legs. The victim
was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/
Jacobi in stable condition.
46th Precinct
Monday, February 10 at 2:40 a.m. – A 34-year
old female victim was entering her home in the vicinity
of Ryer Avenue and 182nd Street when she
walked in on three males inside the location. One
of the males pointed a firearm at the victim and
she immediately retreated, running out of the location.
The males fled in an unknown direction with
assorted clothing. The victim was not injured as a
result of this incident.
Tuesday, February 11 at 6:50 p.m. – A 31-
year old male food delivery person was about to
enter a building in the vicinity of 108 Field Place
when he observed five individuals (four males and
one female) moving towards him. The victim immediately
fled on foot as the four males gave chase
and was able to escape without being caught or
harmed. The males and female fled on foot to parts
unknown. They were last seen wearing face masks
and all dark clothing.
Monday, February 17 at 3:30 p.m. – Police responded
to a 911 call of an unconscious female in
the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and the Cross Bronx
Expressway. Upon arrival, officers discovered a
73-year old female unconscious and unresponsive,
laying in a grassy area. EMS responded and pronounced
the female, later identified as Genovera
Madera, deceased at the scene. The NYC Medical
Examiner will determine the cause of death and the
investigation is ongoing.
47th Precinct
Tuesday, February 4 at 7:26 p.m. – An individual
approached a 30-year old female from behind
in front of 4007 Dyre Avenue and snatched her cell
phone from her hand. When the victim turned to
confront him, the suspect displayed a handgun and
threatened to harm her before fleeing the scene on
foot southbound on Dyre Avenue. He is described
as being 6’3” to 6’5”, 180 to 190 pounds, 20 to 25
years old and was last seen wearing a gray jacket,
black pants and black sneakers.
Monday, February 10 at 6:45 a.m. – An unidentified
individual forcibly entered a Dollar Tree
department store located on 3560 White Plains
Road by prying open a side door with an unknown
object. Once inside, the individual removed an undetermined
number of boxes filled with store items
on a dolly before fleeing eastbound on East 212th
Street.
Tuesday, February 18 at 11:17 a.m. – Police
responded to a 911 call for a person shot inside of
a deli located at 3700 White Plains Road. Upon arrival,
officers discovered a 20-year old male with a
gunshot wound to the torso. EMS responded and
transported the victim to Montefiore Medical Center
where he was pronounced deceased. An 18-
year old male and a 25-year old female were taken
into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
48th Precinct
Saturday, February 8 at 12:51 p.m. – Police
responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision
on Bronx River Parkway at the East 177th
Street exit ramp. A preliminary investigation revealed
that a 78 year-old male was operating a
2011 Lincoln Town Car southbound on Bronx River
Parkway in the right lane when he rear-ended
a 2016 BMW X5, operated by a 33-year old male
who braked due to vehicular traffic congestion
ahead. Two other vehicles, a 2018 Volkswagon
Jetta, operated by a 62-year old female, and a
2019 Toyota Camry, operated by a 23-year old
male, were also rear-ended during this incident.
The operator of the Lincoln Town Car, identified
as 78-year old Joseph Greco, was transported by
EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in serious
condition, where he succumbed to his injuries
five days later. The investigation remains ongoing
by NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
49th Precinct
Tuesday, February 11 at 10:36 p.m. – Police
responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress
within the vicinity of a Bank of America located
near the corner of Pelham Parkway and White
Plains Road. Upon arrival, officers observed a 43-
year old female complaining of pain to her leg and
ankle, stating that she encountered three individuals
who, upon initial encounter, argued with her before
assaulting her and throwing her to the ground,
causing the injury to her leg. On the morning of Friday,
February 21, the victim was discovered unconscious
and unresponsive within her residence.
The victim, who was later identified as Tamara Sinclair,
was pronounced deceased by EMS.
50th Precinct
Friday, February 7 at 5:30 p.m. – A 79-year
old female victim exited her building in the vicinity
of Exterior Street and Broadway when she was
approached from behind by an unidentified male
who was walking a dog. The male proceeded to
push the victim to the ground and remove her purse
before entering a nearby building with the victim’s
personal identification and bank card. The victim
suffered bruising and pain but refused medical attention
at the scene.
Thursday, February 20 at 3:36 a.m. – 32-year
old NYPD police officer Ivanhoe Sosa was arrested
and charged with menacing, criminal possession of
a weapon and harassment.
52nd Precinct
Monday, February 10 at 2:30 p.m. – A 59-
year old male was standing on the mezzanine at
the East 183rd Street subway station waiting for
a 4 train when he was approached from behind,
placed in a chokehold and had a box cutter placed
to his neck. The victim received a cut to his hand
and was treated at the scene for his injury.
Monday, February 17 at 11 a.m. – The NYPD
is asking for the public’s assistance identifying a
male individual in connection to a burglary incident
that occurred inside of a residence in the vicinity of
Webster Avenue and East 205th Street when a 35-
year old male building employee returned to work
and discovered property missing and contacted
police. Subsequent investigation determined that
earlier the same day at approximately 5 a.m., an
unknown male individual entered the secured residence
and stole a cart containing multiple construction
tools. The individual fled with the property
on foot to parts unknown. The property had an
estimated value of $2,400.
