Santa Visits the Westchester Square BID
On Monday, December 21, 2020, Santa Claus visited the Westchester Square Business Improvement District and held a
socially distanced event to bring presents and good cheer. Despite the many obstacles that COVID-19 has thrown at 2020,
the Westchester Square BID found a way to keep their annual tradition of hosting Santa Claus as he distributed free gifts to
children in the community. BID Executive Director, Yasmin Cruz explained, “We couldn’t let the kids down. This pandemic has
taken so much from them already, we just wanted to make sure that their year ended on a high note.” To access the event,
parents and guardians reserved a spot for their children to meet Santa Claus in his sleigh, Mrs. Claus, the Grinch and Cindy
Lou Who. The event was held outside of Plush 101 Lounge located at 53 Westchester Square.
