A gun-weilding criminal held
up an Atlantic Avenue post offi ce
on Oct. 6.
Mail workers told police that
the bandit waltzed up to the postal
clerk window with a gun between
Third and Fourth avenues at 10 am
and stole the postal patron’s phone
and wallet, before bolting out.
Bag-snatchers bust
Police arrested two men for allegedly
mugging an helpless elderly
woman on Nevins Street on
Oct. 7.
The victim told police that the
two suspects allegedly cornered her
near Pacifi c Street at 10:10 pm and
allegedly took her backpack before
making a run for it.
Cops caught up with the two suspects
near Third Avenue about half
an hour later and cuffed them on felony
robbery charges, according to
police reports.
Screwed-up!
A gang of shoplifters threatened
an employee with a screwdriver inside
a Fulton Mall department store
on Oct. 8.
The victim told police that the
looters tried to walk out of the store
between Hoyt Street and Gallatin
Place just after 11 am with 19 coats,
worth a total of more than $4,600,
before threatening an employee
with the sharp tool.
Elder abuse
A bat-wielding brute struck an
elderly man on Pierrepont Street
on Oct. 6.
The 65-year-old victim told police
that the goon whacked him
with a stick between Cadman Plaza
W. and Clinton Street around 12:50
pm, before jumping into a black
Mercedes and high-tailing it.
Package pirate
A sneak thief stole packages
from the back of a delivery truck on
Atlantic Avenue on Oct. 5.
A witness saw the mystery man
take mailed goods, worth $250, from
a United Parcel Service van while
making deliveries at Nevins Street
at 12:35 pm.

Underground ambush
A posse of gun-toting goons held
up a man at the Atlantic Avenue Qtrain
station on Oct. 4.
The victim told police that the
fi ve fi ends approached and snatched

his backpack while threatening
him with a gun on the Coney Islandbound
platform at 10 pm.
Glassed!
Some villain smashed a senior’s
head with a bottle on Waverly Avenue
on Oct. 6.
A witness told police that the
brute hit the 78-year-old man in the
face with the bottle between Lafayette
and Greene avenues around
11:10 am before bolting away.
Paramedics rushed the elderly
man to Methodist Hospital for treatment
of cuts to his forehead and
bruises to the back of his head, according
to police reports.
Doggone shame!
A malefactor threw a can of dog
food at a man inside a Park Avenue
bodega on Oct. 6.
The victim told police that his
attacker tossed the canned canine
cuisine at him during a verbal argument
near Cumberland Street at 8
am, before running out of the store.
Inspector’s gadgets
A fi lcher looted a city inspector’s
car on Grand Avenue on Oct. 6.
The victim parked his Department
of Buildings vehicle between
Fulton Street and Lefferts Place at 9
am and when he came back 20 minutes
later he saw that someone had
stolen his phone, laptop, and city
gas card.
Heroic intervention
A Good Samaritan intercepted a
phone thief on Flatbush Avenue on
Oct. 9.
The victim told police that the
bandit asked to use her phone near
Livingston Street at 9:50 am, before
driving off with it in her car.
Then, some hero ran after the car
and took back the cellphone, before
giving it to the victim, cops said.

Raise the roof
Two gunmen broke into an Ocean
Avenue apartment on Oct. 9
The victim told police that the
home invaders ordered the victim
to lay on the fl oor of his apartment
at the intersection of Avenue T with
his eyes closed at around 4 pm before
swiping cash, rings, a gold watch,
and a gold chain with a diamond
pendant.
Basement blues
Crooks nabbed tools from the
basement of an E. Third Street home
on Oct. 8.
The victim told police that the
bandit broke in to the resident at the
intersection of Avenue W by busting
a latch on the bathroom window
at approximately 5:30 pm and fl ed
through the front door with the illgotten
goods.
Window weasel
A pillager stole an iPhone and
a carton of cigarettes from a car
parked in a Shore Parkway parking
garage on Oct. 5.
The victim told police that the
pirate smashed the window of his
car parked at the intersection of E.
16th Street at around 3:35 am, before
grabbing the paraphernalia and
running off.

Smashing pumpkins
Cops cuffed a teenager for allegedly
smashing a ceramic pumpkin
onto her elderly landlord’s arm on
72nd Street on Oct. 6.
The 77-year-old victim told police
that he heard the 17-year-old
bickering with her relative inside
the apartment by 16th Avenue at
around noon, but when he went upstairs
to check on the commotion,
the girl threw a ceramic pumpkin
at him, injuring his arm.
Boiling mad
Police arrested a woman for allegedly
throwing boiling water at
her relative on 20th Drive on Oct.
11.
The victim told police that he got
into an argument with the 23-yearold
when the suspect grabbed a pot
of boiling water and threw it at
his back in their apartment near
Cropsey Avenue at 8 pm.
Paramedics rushed the victim
to Coney Island Hospital with serious
injuries, according to police reports.
Not o-Kay
A pirate stole nearly $35,000
worth of jewelry from Kay Jewelers
on Shore Parkway on Oct. 11.
An employee told police that the
looter broke a glass display case
with a hammer and stole $35,794
worth of jewelry from the store
near 24th Avenue at around 4:30
pm, before fl eeing in a gray Range
Rover.
Punched!
A marauder punched a man in
the face during a robbery on Avenue
U on Oct. 6.
An employee told police that the
good-for-nothing socked him in the
face while snagging items from the
discount store between W. Fourth
and W. Fifth streets at 8:35 am, before
running out empty handed.

A crappy job
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
trying to steal three boxes of toilet
paper from Columbia Street on Oct.
13.
A witness told police that she
saw the suspect use a screwdriver
and wire cutter to break
into the apartment building by
Warren Street at 2 am before
placing three packages containing
toilet paper and tissues into a
shopping cart.
Police apprehended the defendant
and charged him with burglary,
criminal possession of burglary
tools, criminal possession of stolen
property, and criminal trespassing,
according to police reports.
Plate pirate
A thief stole a license plate off a
Revel scooter on Henry Street on
Oct. 6.
A Revel employee told police that
the bandit nabbed the back plate
from the moped parked near the
corner of Huntington Street at 11:47
pm, but part of the plate remained
bolted on.
Citi bandit
A burglar rode off on a Citi Bike
parked on Smith Street on Oct. 11.
The victim told police that she
had left the bike propped outside a
store near Butler Street at around
5:20 pm, but when she came back,
the two-wheeler was gone.
Bike burglary
A thief nabbed two bikes from
a Union Street apartment building
sometime between Oct. 3 and Oct. 7.
The victim told police that the
nogoodnik snagged a red bike
worth $400 and a silver bike worth
$445 from the hallway of her building
between Clinton and Court
Streets.
