Cops are hunting
for a repeat stick-up
artist, who they say
has robbed two south
Brooklyn businesses
this month.
The fi end fi rst
robbed the Hai Rong
Mini Market convenience
store on 18th Avenue
in Bensonhurst on
Sept. 1, when he fl ashed
a gun at a 37-year-old
clerk and fl ed from the
store near 61st Street
with $500, according to
police.
He struck again one
week later on Sept. 7
in Sunset Park, when
he entered the Koong
Wing Restaurant on
Fourth Avenue near
60th Street before fl ashing
a gun and making
off with $1,000.
Cops describe the
suspect as a Black man
between the ages of 20
and 30.
In Bensonhurst’s
62nd precinct, where
the fi rst heist occurred,
robberies are down 30
percent compared to
the same time last year,
according to NYPD
data, and in the 72nd
Precinct, robberies are
up just 4.5 percent compared
to the same time
last year.
