Gas-stole-ine
Punks snagged more than $1,200
from the cash register at a Cropsey
Avenue gas station on Aug. 4.
An employee told police that the
burglars broke into the gas station
at the intersection of Hart Place
through the front door at around
9:15 am while it was unattended, before
grabbing the cash and fl eeing
undetected.
Double-bike heist
Crooks stole two bikes tied up in
a West Street apartment building’s
parking lot on Aug. 8.
The victim told police that the
knaves cut the locks on the two
bikes in the parking lot between
Avenue Z and Shore Parkway at
around 5 am and took off with the
two-wheelers, which were worth a
combined $2,400.
Beach bust
Bandits swiped two beachgoers’
belongings while they were
swimming at by the east side of the
Riegelmann Boardwalk on Aug. 3.
The victims told police that they
went to take a dip in the ocean near
Brighton Second Street at around 5
am, but returned to fi nd their stuff
had been stolen.

Bat battery
Three dirtbags attacked a man
with a bat during a violent robbery
on Shore Parkway on Aug. 5.
The victim told police that the
three ruffi ans hit him with a bat
and cut him with a knife by Bay
Parkway at 1 am, before rummaging
through his pockets and stealing
his wallet, credit card, social security
card, and $700.
Paramedics arrived on the scene
and treated the man for a broken
right hand, along with bruises on
his leg, back and shoulders, according
to police reports.
Paramedic punch
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly
punching an EMT while in an ambulance
on 65th Street on Aug. 4.
The victim told police that he was
taking the suspect to the hospital after
a 911 caller saw him passed out
on the sidewalk by 18th Avenue at 7
am, when the man allegedly became
restless, unbuckled his seatbelt, and
punched the victim in his jaw.
Police arrested the man shortly
after on assault charges, according
to police reports.

Soda strike
Police arrested three men for allegedly
throwing soda at a victim on
New Utrecht Avenue on Aug. 3.
The victim told police that the
suspect nabbed a bottle of whiskey
from his liquor store between 76th
and 77th streets, but when he tried
to chase after the alleged thieves,
they threw a can of soda at his face.
Police nabbed the suspects during
a canvas and charged them with
robbery, according to police.
A sad sight
Two thieves stole 100 pairs of
high-end glasses from an Avenue U
store on Aug. 4.
An employee told police that the
two burglars forced their way in
through the gate and broke a display
case inside the store near W.
Fifth St. at 4:45 am, before stealing
100 pairs of Cartier glasses — which
usually retail for at least $600 each.

Hungry bandits
Cops arrested two teenage boys
for allegedly ambushing a food delivery
worker at Steuben Street on
Aug. 9.
The victim told police that eight
teens between the ages of 13 and 15
smacked him to the ground with
a traffi c cone between Myrtle and
Park avenues at 3:30 pm, before one
of the suspects snatched the victim’s
food.
Police canvased the scene and
arrested two of the alleged bandits
— including a 14-year-old and
a 15-year-old boy — 15 minutes later
on felony robbery charges in connection
with the incident, according
to police reports.
Chewed out
An armed bandit stole a man’s
gold teeth and jewelry inside a car
on Carlton Avenue on Aug. 1.
The victim told police that the
crook hopped into the vehicle while
wielding a gun near Fulton Street
at 11:45 pm, before grabbing the victim’s
gold teeth, ring, and cash and
hopping out.
Violent visit
A knife-wielding brute attacked
his ex-girlfriend at her Cumberland
Walk apartment on Aug. 3.
The victim told police that the
lout broke into the apartment and
lunged at her with a kitchen knife
between Myrtle and Park avenues
at 10 pm, before hitting and strangling
her.
Overnight raid
A looter ransacked a Fulton
Street cafe on the night of August 4.
Employees told police that the
burglar busted a side window with
a brick at the eatery near S. Oxford
Street overnight, before grabbing
$2,500 in cash from a drawer and
making a run for it.

Trunk treasure hunt
A thief stole more than $16,000
worth of belongings from a car on
Warren Street sometime between
Aug. 10 and Aug. 11.
The victim told police that the
looter opened the unlocked trunk of
the car parked near Clinton Street
and nabbed a Mac computer, a bag,
a suitcase, and women’s clothes —
totaling over $16,000.
Baddie two-shoes
A burglar stole shoes outside a
Baltic Street home on Aug. 9.
The victim told police that the
porch pirate snagged a package containing
a pair of $288 shoes from his
doorstep between Court and Clinton
streets.
Revel rebel
A pilferer stole a license plate off
a Revel moped on Fourth Place on
July 27.
An employee told police that they
received an alert that someone was
tampering with the motorized bicycle
parked between Clinton and
Court streets at around 11:50 pm,
and when they arrived at the scene,
they found that the bandit had removed
the license plate.
Bike bandit
A nogoodnik stole two bikes from
Pioneer Street on Aug. 9.
The victim told police that the
sneak thief took the two unlocked
bikes, worth $250 each from between
Richards and Van Brunt streets at
around 3 am.

Subway stabber
Police arrested a man for allegedly
stabbing a straphanger in the
face at the Jay Street-MetroTech
station on Aug. 3.
The victim told police that the
suspect allegedly slashed him at the
station near Willoughby Street at
3:20 pm.
Cops nabbed the suspect near
Fulton and Bridge streets at around
3:30 pm, arresting him on felony assault
charges, according to police.
Out of order!
Police arrested a suspect for allegedly
stealing jewelry from a man
at a Schermerhorn Street courthouse
on Aug. 8.
The victim told police that he
was waiting to see a judge at Smith
Street at 11:45 am when the suspect
allegedly yanked two rings off his
fi ngers and told him “If you tell anyone,
I’m gonna beat you.”
Cops collared the man at the
scene for felony robbery charges,
according to police reports.
Bad neighbor
Police arrested a man on Aug. 5
for allegedly attacking his neighbor
with a spray can on Schermerhorn
Street a month prior.
The victim told police that the
suspect allegedly hit her in the neck
with the can between Smith and
Hoyt streets on July 5 at around
12:52 pm.
Police arrested the suspect at the
scene a month later on felony assault
charges, according to the police
reports.
Scolded!
Police arrested a man for allegedly
burning a woman with hot liquid
at a Fulton Street hot dog joint
on Aug. 5.
The victim told police that she
and the alleged attacker were arguing
about food near Elm Place at 2:55
pm when the man threw the liquid
at her, burning her waist and arm.
Cops cuffed the man 20 minutes
later on felony assault charges, according
to police reports.
Hammered
Some goon hit a man with a hammer
repeatedly on Saint Marks
Place on Aug. 3.
The victim told police that he got
into an argument with the villain
about a plastic garbage bag between
Third and Fourth avenues at 7 am
when the baddie swung the tool at
him, striking him multiple times.
Paramedics rushed the victim to
Methodist Hospital for treatment,
according to police reports.
