A bully hit a man in the face with
a stop sign during a fi t of road rage
on Surf Avenue.
The victim told police that he
was trying to park between W. 15th
and W. 16th streets at around 1:30
pm when the bruiser began assaulting
him with the red octagonal sign,
claiming the spot was his.
Deli dump
A group of bad guys slashed a
man during a violent robbery near
Brighton Beach Avenue on March
10.
The victim told police that his
memory was foggy, but he remembers
being inside a deli before the
men grabbed him and left him near
Brighton Sixth Street at around 2
am with his money and foreign ID
missing.
Sinful
Sacrilegious snakes swiped
$1,000 from a locked collection box
in a Poplar Avenue synagogue on
March 12.
An employee of the house of
worship told police that the unholy
thieves broke into the temple at the
intersection of Highland Avenue
at around 2:30 am, before using a
hammer to pry open the donation
box and running off with the illgotten
cash.

Bensonhurst—Bath Beach
Gun bust
Police cuffed a gunman for allegedly
throwing a helmet at a cop on
Avenue T on March 12.
Boys-in-blue say they got into a
chase with the motorcycle-riding
suspect for riding with no license
plate near Avenue S at 8:35 pm, and
when they fi nally caught up with
him, the suspect allegedly tried to
fl ee on foot, throwing his helmet at
an offi cer.
Offi cers managed to cuff the suspect,
who they say is a known gang
member, and discovered a loaded
semi-automatic with a high capacity
magazine in his bag, according
to police reports.
Glass attack
Police arrested a man for allegedly
attacking a woman with a glass
bottle inside a Bay Parkway bodega
on March 14.
The victim told police that she
and the stranger got into an argument
inside the deli located between
85th and 86th streets at 8:15 am
when the suspect grabbed a glass

Cops arrest drunk driver for
fatal crash on the Gowanus
The Gowanus Expressway near Exit 17 at 92nd Street in Bay Ridge. Google
bottle and smacked her in the back
of the head.
Choked up
Cops arrested a man for allegedly
choking his 65-year-old friend
inside an Avenue T home on March
14.
The victim told police that he
and the 32-year-old suspect got into
an argument about fi nances inside
the home by W. Fourth Street at 6
pm when the defendant allegedly
wrapped his arm around the victim’s
neck and choked him.
Stolen jewels!
Some thief ran off with $3,000
worth of jewelry from an 86th Street
jewelry store on March 8.
The employee told police that the
good-for-nothing said he wanted to
sell a cross necklace at the store between
Bay 28th and Bay 29th streets
at 4 pm, but when the store clerk
turned around, the lowlife grabbed
jewelry from the case and ran off.

Out of luck
Cops cuffed a teen for allegedly
stealing a batch of lottery tickets at
a Clinton Street bodega on March 7.
The store owner told police that
the suspect and another guy allegedly
took two cases of scratch
tickets from the store at Atlantic
Avenue at around 8:40 pm, before
making off with $14,600 worth of illgotten
goods.
Police caught up with one of the
suspects two blocks down at Aitken
Place and arrested him on felony robbery
charges, according to police.
First raid
A looter raided a Fulton Mall medical
offi ce on the night of March 4.
The victim told police that the invader
yanked open the front door of
the storefront near Boerum Place
and stole $3,500 worth of medical
equipment.
Lucked out!
Some rogue ransacked a Metro-
Tech news stand on the night of
March 9.
The victim told police that the
thief broke into the shop between
Duffi eld and Bridge streets and
stole cash and scratch cards worth
more than $12,000.
Elder abuse
Some lousy swindler defrauded
a senior citizen out of $12,500 on
March 9.
The 64-year-old victim told police
that a mystery woman called her
around 1:40 pm and said her daughter
had got into a car crash and
needed the money as bail, prompting
her to make a payment to the shyster
at a Montague Street bank before realizing
the call had been a scam.
Five-fi nger discount
Police arrested a woman for allegedly
shoplifting at a Fulton Mall
department store on March 13.
A worker told police that the
suspect allegedly took a bracelet,
necklace, phone sanitizer, a sanitizer
wand, and coffee from the shop
between Gallatin Place and Hoyt
Street just after 7 pm.
Cops collared the woman on
the scene on felony grand larceny
charges, according to police.

Swinging and steal
Cops arrested a teen for an alleged
violent robbery of a boy at a Fulton
Street playground on March 9.
The 14-year-old victim told police
that the suspect and a gang of other
guys allegedly beat him up at Classon
Avenue at 7 pm, before taking
his phone and fl eeing downtown on
Fulton Street.
Paramedics brought the-up boy
to a hopstial for treatment. Cops
caught up with the 14-years-old suspect
and arrested him on felony robbery
charges just after midnight on
March 12, according to police.

Police arrested a man for alleged
drunk driving following a
fatal crash on the Gowanus Expressway
in Bay Ridge which
killed his passenger on the night
of March 10.
Staten Island man Mark
Dookhan, 30, was allegedly intoxicated
when he slammed his BMW
sedan into the back of the bigger
vehicle near Exit 17 at 92nd Street
on the Rock-bound side of the highway
around 11:20 pm, police said.
Dookhan’s friend in the passenger
seat, Karen Diaz, also 30, died
in the collision with the truck,
which was stopped in traffi c in the
middle lane at the time, according
to police.
Paramedics rushed to the
scene and pronounced Diaz dead
and Dookhan was brought to NYU
Langone-Brooklyn in stable condition.
The driver of the truck
was not injured and remained on
scene.
Dookhan showed signs of intoxication
and refused to take a
breathalyzer test, and police arrested
him for drunk driving, according
to a Police Department
spokesman. The suspect has previously
been convicted of driving
while intoxicated within the last
10 years, according to police.
