ATM withdrawal
Bandits nabbed an ATM containing
over $10,000 from a Harway Avenue
convenience store on Feb. 25
An employee told police that he
saw the thieves break into the store
between Bay 50th Street and Stillwell
Avenue at around 4:48 am and
leave with the ATM.
Tow fraud
Purloiners snagged $1,741 worth
of camera equipment from a car at a
Shore Parkway tow yard on Feb. 26.
The victim told police that his
car was towed from his residence
to the yard at the intersection of
Bay 44th Street at around 3 am and
discovered the items were missing
when he went to pick up his ride.
Apple picking
Looters stole $7,500 and Apple
AirPods from a Coney Island Avenue
convenience store on Feb. 22.
An employee told police that the
louts broke into the store between
Ocean View Ave and Brighton 10th
Street through a back window at
around 10:30 pm and grabbed the
contraband.

Timber!
A brute smacked an acquaintance
in the head with a piece of
wood on 15th Avenue on Feb. 24.
The victim told police that his
good-for-nothing companion hit
him over the head with the wooden
plank on the corner of 61st Street
at 4 pm, scraping the left side of his
forehead, before running off.
Robbery gone wrong
Cops cuffed three men for allegedly
stealing a man’s wallet at knife
point on Shore Parkway on Feb. 23.
The victim told police that the
three suspects allegedly jumped into
his car near Bay Parkway at 8:50 pm
and demanded his wallet while holding
a knife, before making off with
$800 and his credit cards.
Cops stopped the suspect and
found them carrying the man’s cash
and 30 pills of Xanax, and arrested
them on a slew of charges, according
to police reports.
Cruel kid
Police arrested a teenager for allegedly
beating up a 61-year-old man
on 18th Avenue on Feb. 25.
The victim told police that the
16-year-old kicked and punched him
to the ground on the corner of 70th

Cops soon caught up with the
suspect and apprehended him,
charging him with felony robbery,
according to police reports.
Battery bandit
A sneak thief stole six batteries
from a cable box on 63rd Street on
Feb. 26.
An Optimum employee told police
that some nogoodnik forced
open the locked box by the corner of
20th Avenue at around 2 pm and removed
$1,850 worth of batteries nefpre
running off.
What a tool!
A pilferer made off with a backpack
full of tools on 81st Street on
Feb. 27.
The victim told police that the
thief snatched his bag fi lled with
$1,030 worth of tools from the hallway
of his building between 18th
and 19th avenues at around 5 am before
fl eeing undetected.

A brute hospitalized a man during
an attack with a cane on Willoughby
Street on Feb. 22
The victim told police that the
goon whacked him in the head with
the stick at Lawrence Street just before
9:10 pm.
Paramedics treated the injured
victim at nearby Brooklyn Hospital
for his wounds, according to police
reports.
Criminal incense
Knife-toting knaves nabbed a
bunch of perfumes from a Fulton
Mall department store on Feb. 26.
Employees told police that the
pair of pilferers took several bottles
from the business between Duffield
and Bridge streets around 4:15
pm, and when a worker tried to stop
them, one of the criminals pulled
out a blade and said, “It’s not worth
losing your life.”
Hard hitter
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
beating up a guy with a metal bat at
a Schermerhorn Street bodega on
Feb. 22.
The victim told police that the
suspect allegedly swung the bar at
him repeatedly at Bond Street at
11:45 am, hitting him several times.
Cops arrested the man on the
spot and charged him with felony
assault, according to police reports.
Knife vs. leg
Some ne’er-do-well stabbed a
woman in the leg near her Sands
Street home on Feb. 24.
The victim told police that the
slasher pierced her in the limb near
Navy Street just after midnight.
The bloodied woman then walked
all the way to Cobble Hill hospital
for treatment of her wound, according
to police reports.
Placard abuse
A fi lcher raided a fi refi ghter’s car
on Willoughby Street on the night of
Feb. 21.
The victim told police that the nogoodnik
broke into her parked car
between Duffi eld and Bridge streets
and stole her Fire Department parking
placard, her car registration,
coat, boots, and book bag.
E-bike swipe
A quick-thinking bandit stole a
deliveryman’s e-bike on Atlantic
Avenue on Feb. 22.
The victim told police that he left
his two-wheeler for ten minutes with
the back wheel locked between Hicks
and Columbia streets at 5:25 pm before
some sneaky thief stole it.

Detectives picked up a Brooklyn
man on Feb. 28 who allegedly
knifed several people, including
one fatally, during a robbery attempt
earlier that weekend.
William Smith, 45, of Marion
Street faces murder, robbery and
assault charges for his bloody
rampage on Feb. 26 at what police
described as an illegal gambling
den at the corner of 57th Street and
Seventh Avenue in Sunset Park.
Law enforcement sources said
Smith allegedly visited the location
just before 9:21 pm, and soon
went on the attack.
Among his victims was Yong
Zheng, 46, of the Bowery in Manhattan,
who was stabbed multiple
times and later died.
Two other men, ages 39 and 42,
were also stabbed and hospitalized
for treatment of non-life-threatening
injuries.
During a subsequent investigation,
detectives determined that
Smith was the primary culprit in
the bloody robbery attempt. Following
questioning, he was taken
into custody on Feb. 28 at the 72nd
Precinct’s stationhouse.
