The holiday season is
upon us and that means
the weekends of December
are packed with markets
offering up local and
handmade wares perfect
for gift giving. Many annual
Brooklyn markets
are forging ahead this
year with pandemic protocols
like masking, distancing
and providing
proof of vaccination in
place. Here are just a few
of the fairs to check out
this season.
Weeksville Holiday
Market with Black-
Owned Brooklyn
Saturday, Dec. 11 and
Sunday, Dec. 12, 12 to 5
pm, 158 Buffalo Avenue,
Crown Heights
The historic site is
partnering with Black-
Owned Brooklyn to offer
up gifts like graphic
tees and hoodies, artwork,
totes, rare books,
jewelry and more. There
will also be live performances
and tours of the
historic Hunterfl y Road
Houses. The indoor performances
require proof
of vaccination and seating
will be limited.
Bed Stuy Winter
Wonderland 2.0
Saturdays and Sundays
until Dec. 25, 11 am
to 6 pm, Marcy Plaza and
Restoration Plaza at 1368
Fulton Street
The collaboration between
the Bed-Stuy Gateway
BID, Wells Fargo
and the Neighborhoods
Now program by Van
Alen Institute and the
Urban Design Forum
returns this year with
an even larger fresh air
market focused on supporting
local businesses.
The number of vendor
spaces has doubled from
last year and the event
includes outdoor dining
and photo opportunities
with Santa. Face masks
are required and there
will be a COVID testing
station available.
FAD BergenXCourt
Holiday Market
Saturdays and Sundays,
Dec. 4 through 19,
11 am to 6 pm, the Invisible
Dog Art Center at 51
Bergen Street, St. Paul’s
Church at 190 Court
Street
FAD Market has two
holiday pop-ups this year
just blocks away from
each other in Boerum
Hill and Cobble Hill. Between
the two sites there
will be over 90 designers
and small business participating
with clothing,
tableware, stationery,
handcrafted jewelry and
more on offer. A number
of workshops are also being
offered and there will
be a DIY gift-wrapping
station. Proof of vaccination
is required and mask
wearing is mandatory. To

The Makers Show at
City Point
Fridays through Sundays,
through Dec. 19,
11 am to 7 pm, 445 Albee
Square, City Point
The market featuring
the work of local artisans
kicked off right after
Thanksgiving and continues
on for three more
weekends. This year The
Makers Show includes
more than 50 vendors inside
City Point.
Dumbo Brooklyn
Flea Holiday Market
Sundays through Dec.
19, 10 am to 4 pm, Dumbo
Archway
The Brooklyn Flea is
all set for the holidays
with more than 40 vendors
offering up vintage
and handmade goods including
clothing, home
decor and more. The
market started in early
November but there are
still some weekends left
to snap up some special
fi nds.
