him on felony assault
charges, according to the authorities.

A villain slashed a man
on the subway near the High

men’s shelter on Sept. 14.
The victim told police that
the suspect allegedly jabbed
the victim’s eyeball with his
finger hard enough to bleed
while inside the residence between
Nevins Street and Third
Avenue at around 8 a.m.
Police arrested the man
later that day on misdemeanor
assault charges, according to
police reports.
Car jacker
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly
using a stolen car to
steal construction equipment
from a Fourth Avenue store
on Aug. 13.
A store employee told
police on Sept. 13 that the
suspect had rented equipment
a month earlier from
the store between Third and
Sixth streets, but failed to return
it.
Police ran the suspect’s
license plate and discovered
that the car had also been
stolen.
Police caught up with the
22-year-old man and arrested
him on misdemeanor charges
of unauthorized use of a motor
vehicle, according to police
reports.

A thief stole undelivered
packages from a First Street
apartment on Sept. 10.
The victim told police that
the swindler entered the apartment
building between Fourth
and Fifth avenues at around 7
p.m. and grabbed $550 worth
of packages.

A motorists side-swiped
another car on First Street
and drove off on Sept. 12.
The victim told police that
she was double parked between
Fifth and Sixth avenues
when the punk smashed into

Cops arrested a man for
allegedly driving 110 miles
per hour on the Gowanus Expressway
on Sept. 7.
Patrolmen stopped the motorist
for speeding in the 55
miles-per-hour zone near 44th
Street at around 3:30 a.m.
Police arrested the man on
misdemeanor charges of reckless
endangerment, according
to police reports.
Subway scum
A bruiser assaulted an
intoxicated straphanger at a
Fourth Avenue train station
on Sept. 14.
The victim told police that
the brute punched him repeatedly
and kicked him in the rib
cage at the station near 25th
Street at around 3:45 a.m.
First responders arrived on
the scene and took the victim
to Langone Medical Center for
treatment of non life-threatening
injuries, according to
police reports.
Cuffed car thief
Police arrested a woman for
allegedly attempting to break
into cars on 50th Street on
Sept. 11.
A witness told police that
the woman was allegedly attempted
to enter several different
vehicles between Fifth
and Sixth avenues at around
1:30 a.m. before gaining access
to a grey Honda Odyssey
. Police arrived on the scene
and arrested the woman on felony
charges of unauthorized
use of a motor vehicle.
Noise arrest
Police arrested a motorist
for allegedly playing music
loudly on Fifth Avenue on
Sept. 10.
Patrolling officers pulled
the motorist over between
47th and 48th streets at around
7:50 p.m, for allegedly blasting
music that could be heard
for blocks around, before attempting
to arrest him, according
to police
The suspect pulled his arm
away in an effort to evade arrest,
and Police charged him
with misdemeanor resisting
arrest and creating a public
nuisance, cops said.

Police arrested a woman
for allegedly biting her boyfriend
in a Prospect Avenue
apartment on Sept. 11.
The victim told police that
he was arguing with this girlfriend
between Seventh and
Eighth avenues when she allegedly
scratched his neck
and bit him on his shoulder
at around 5 p.m.
Cops arrested the woman
later that day on misdemeanor
assault charges, according to
police reports.

A man shot his girlfriend
and then turned the
gun on himself in her Fort
Greene apartment building
Sunday night, according
to authorities.
Police discovered the
body of Naire McCormick,
44, and her 47-yearold
boyfriend with gunshot
wounds to the head
inside the 10th floor bedroom
of her Clermont Avenue
apartment near Flushing
Avenue at 11:20 p.m.
on Sept. 15, according to
a spokesman for the Police
Department.
Cops also found the pistol
at the scene and are investigating
the murder suicide
as a homicide, the
spokesman said.
The authorities have are
waiting to release the man’s
name pending family notification,
the spokesman
added.
