A thief nabbed a man’s
phone and cash aboard a
4-train out of the Borough
Hall Station on Aug. 28.
The victim told police he
was sitting on the Flatbushbound
train when the crook
boarded at the station near
Court Street and snatched
the phone out of his hand at
8 a.m.
The freebooter pretended
to have a weapon in his pocket
and shouted, “Give me everything,”
so the victim took out
his wallet and gave the thief
a $50 bill, before the bandit
took off at the next station,
according to police.
Slap in the face!
Cops arrested a man for allegedly
robbing a teen on St.
Marks Place on Aug. 26.
The victim, 14, told cops
the reprobate walked up to
him, slapped him in the face,
and told him to take off his
shoes near Fourth Avenue at
9:10 p.m.
The boy handed over both
his sneakers and a pair of flip
flops, and the scalawag fled
on foot, according to the authorities.
Police cuffed the 21-yearold
bandit later that day, slap-
ping him with felony robbery
charges, according to the authorities.
Cold case
Cops arrested a man they
suspect of robbing ice cream
from a Bond Street bodega
on Sept. 1.
The victim told cops the
suspect grabbed a tub of Häagen
Dazs from the store near
State Street at 9:50 p.m., when
he gave chase, only for the
suspect to pull what appeared
to be a gun from his waistband,
leading him to give up
the pursuit.
Police caught up with the
suspect at Warren and Nevins
streets about 20 minutes
later, and arrested him on felony
robbery charges, according
to the authorities.
What a jerk!
A thief snatched an elderly
woman’s purse on Livingston
Street on Aug. 31.
The 80-year-old victim told
police the scoundrel grabbed
her bag at Clinton Street and
escaped toward Court Street
at 10:45 p.m.
The scoundrel then used
the woman’s credit card at a
Brooklyn market, according
to police.
Quick swipe
Cops arrested a man they
suspect of stealing clothes
from a Fulton Street department
store on Aug. 30.
A witness told police the
61-year-old man took several
sweaters and tops, and walked
out the store between Gallatin
Place and Hoyt Street without
paying at 9:20 p.m.
Cops caught up with the
suspect and arrested him
on felony Grand Larceny
charges, according to the
authorities.

Slash and grab
Bandits attacked a man
and nabbed his phone at a
St. Edwards Street park on
Aug. 26.
The victim told police the
thieves attacked him with a
knife and slashed him multiple
times between Myrtle Avenue
and Willoughby Street
around 1:30 p.m.
The brutes then made a run
for it toward Flatbush Avenue,
while paramedics rushed the
victim to Methodist hospital,
according to police.
One and done
A wretch punched and
robbed a man in front of a
N. Oxford Walk apartment
building on Aug. 27.
The victim told police the
criminal cold cocked him between
N. Portland and Carlton
avenues at 5:20 p.m., before
yanking out his wireless
headphones, nabbing $20, and
then hightailing it.
Alley slasher
A razor-wielding whacko
attacked a woman on Navy
Walk on Aug. 29.
The victim told police the
brute pushed her up against a
fence and started cutting her
with a razor, slashing her in the
back of the head, arm, and on
both ears near Navy Street and
Ashland Place at 5 a.m.
The attacker fled the scene
without taking anything, or
even uttering a single word
throughout the attack, according
to the authorities.
Paramedics brought the
woman to Brooklyn Hospital
with non-life-threatening
injuries, police said.
Friendly attack
Some yahoo threw a glass
pitcher at her friend inside a
Fulton Street bar on Aug.
29.
The victim told police that
her buddy threw the pitcher at
her — but missed — smashing
it on the floor of the watering
hole near St. James Place
at 8:20 p.m.

A bruiser assaulted a man
on 11th Street on Aug. 27.
The victim told police that
he was walking between Second
and Third avenues at
around 1 p.m. when the ruffian
sucker punched him and
kicked him multiple times.
First responders took the
victim to Methodist Hospital
for treatment, according
to police reports.
Hit-and-run
Some lowlife left the scene
of a car accident on Third Avenue
on Aug. 21.
The victim told police that
the driver smashed into the
rear end of his car near Seventh
Street at 5:40 p.m., before
fleeing.
Puttering perp
A thief stole a moped from
Bergen Street on Aug. 28.
The victim told police that
he left the two-wheeled motor
transport between Carlton
and Sixth avenues at around 9
p.m., and discovered it missing
when he returned the next
morning at around 7 a.m.
Overdose
Police responded to the
scene of a drug overdose inside
a President Street apartment
building on Sept. 2.
A caller reported to police
that a man was unconscious
inside the apartment
between Fifth and Sixth avenues
at around 10 a.m. When
police arrived on the premises,
they found the overdosed
man surrounded by drug paraphernalia.
First reporters took the
man to Methodist Hospital
for treatment, according to
police reports.

Stunning arrest
Police arrested a suspect
for allegedly stealing a motorcycle
on Fourth Avenue after
blasting him with a stun
gun on Aug. 30.
A bystander told cops that
a suspicious looking man allegedly
took the motorbike
near the intersection of 60th
Street and drove off at around
5 p.m., before crashing into
a nearby fence.
Police tracked down the
man with the stolen bike and
teased him as he attempted
to flee the scene. He was arrested
on felony grand larceny
auto charges, according
to police reports.
Postal perp
A fraudster stole a check
from a Fort Hamilton Parkway
mailbox sometime between
Aug. 21 and Aug. 23.
The victim told police that
she put the check in the mailbox
near the intersection of
E. Second Street at around
8 p.m. on a Wednesday, and
the crook cashed his ill-gotten
check into their own account
two days later.
Tool time
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly
stealing from a 19th
Street hardware store on
Aug. 29.
A store employee told police
that the suspect entered
the store near Third Avenue
before allegedly grabbing
$1,219 worth of goods and
attempting to flee at around
3 p.m.
Police arrived on the scene
and arrested the man on felony
grand larceny charges.
Chance of pain
Police booked a suspect for
allegedly assaulting a man
with a windshield wiper blade
on 63rd Street on Aug. 26.
The victim told police
that he was arguing with
another man between Fifth
and Sixth avenues at around
8 p.m., when the guy hurled
the wiper at him, leaving
him with a modest gash on
his arm.
Police arrived on the scene
and arrested the suspect on felony
assault charges, according
to police reports.
Subway swiper
A thief ripped off a sleeping
subway rider at the 25th
Street station on Aug. 27.
The victim told police that
she boarded the Brooklynbound
N train at Time Square
and fell asleep at around 7:30
p.m. When she awoke in the
Brooklyn station near Fourth
Avenue, she realized her luggage
was missing.
Bad check
A swindler stole $4,999 using
a checkbook they found on
Third Avenue on Aug 24.
The victim told police that
she lost the checkbook between
45th and 46th streets at
around 1 p.m., and the fraudster
picked it up and wrote
multiple fraudulent checks
over the next several days.
Chain robbery
Three brutes robbed an
drunken man on 51st Street
on Sept. 2.
The victim told police that
he was walking near the intersection
of Fifth Avenue at
around 12:30 a.m., when one
of the perps punched him in
the face, before grabbing his
gold chain and running off.

Police arrested a man for allegedly
breaking into his 52nd
Street landlord’s apartment
on Sept. 1.
The victim told police
that the suspect knocked on
his door between Third and
Fourth avenue repeatedly to
no avail at around 4 p.m., before
allegedly violently kicking
in the door — causing
$250 in damage.
Police arrived on the scene
and arrested the man on felony
criminal mischief charges, according
to police reports.
