A Catholic Academy Located in the Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. Serving Children from Pre-K3 to
Grade 8.
St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy has a challenging academic Next Generationaligned
curriculum ranging Pre-K 3 through to 8th grade.
St. Joseph the Worker provides students with rich religious formation throughout the
academic year. In conjunction with instilling and upholding catholic values, SJWCA’s
faculty offers blended learning instruction in English Language Arts, Social Studies,
Mathematics, Algebra I Regent prep, Science, Art, Music, Physical Education, Technology, and
Spanish. Our dedicated staff creates a safe and encouraging environment that challenges
bright minds to explore their interests and discover the best in themselves, their classmates,
and the world.

Smart Boards in all classrooms and Chromebooks in grades 5-8
Computer and Technology instruction for all grades including the Pre-K

Gymnasium,Cafeteria, Music Room and Art Room.
Spanish language classes starting in Kindergarten
Music: Ukulele and violin programs available and instrumental band for grades 3-8
Participates in the Catholic Telemedia Network, Learn 360, Espresso, Mathletics academic
enrichment programs and is affiliated with the National Junior Honors Association.
St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy has been accredited by the North Central
Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, which is a division of
AdvancED. Our charter has been approved by the New York State Board of Regents.
We are aligned with the following parishes: Holy Name of Jesus, Immaculate Heart of Mary,
St. Mary Star of the Sea, Our Lady of Czestochowa-St Casimir, and St. John the Evangelist-St.
Rocco. The Academy is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and is governed by a
Board of Directors.
Honor Students: Students can apply to become members of our Junior National Honor
Society. Students in grade 6, 7 and 8 would need to have a 90 average for all core subjects
and be a part of service projects.
Integrated Algebra class is offered to students in grade 8 with an average above 90.
Early Childhood Program
Our Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 classes offer a wonderful place for children to begin their education.
With both a full day or half day option available, children are introduced to attending school in
a warm, loving and secure manner.
