 Violent holdup 
 A brute beat a man to a pulp and  
 robbed him on Jay Street on March  
 12. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 villain assaulted him at Willoughby  
 Street at 6:35 pm and stole his phone  
 and $100, leaving him bleeding and  
 badly concussed. 
 After  coming  home  with  his  
 wounds, the victim was brought to  
 Brooklyn Hospital Center for treatment. 
 Clean hit! 
 A shoplifter threw a bar of soap  
 at  a  pharmacy  employee  on  Montague  
 Street on March 22. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 caught the nogoodnik bagging the  
 cleaning materials at the store  
 near  Remsen  Street  just  after  1:11  
 am, when the lout hurled one bar at  
 his face and bolted toward Cadman  
 Plaza. 
 Five-fi nger discount 
 Some purloiner threatened a  
 Court Street discount store employee  
 with a blade on March 25. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 good-for-nothing tried to bag a  
 bunch of jeans and a pack of underwear  
 from the store at Joralemon  
 Street at 8:20 pm, and when the  
 worker stopped him and escorted  
 him outside, he pulled out a boxcutter  
 and said, “I will cut you,” before  
 making off with stolen goods. 
 Headstand 
 Cops arrested a woman for allegedly  
 smacking a guy in the head  
 with a wooden stand on Court Street  
 on March 23. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 suspect allegedly hit the guy with  
 the bat near Montague Street just  
 before 4:45 pm. 
 Paramedics took the man to Cobble  
 Hill Hospital for treatment, and  
 cops cuffed the woman at the scene  
 on  felony  assault  charges,  according  
 to police reports.  
 Unneighborly 
 Police collared a woman they say  
 assaulted her elderly neighbor on  
 Duffi eld Street on March 24. 
 The 79-year-old victim told cops  
 that the two got into a war of words  
 between Willoughby and Fulton  
 streets at 3:10 pm when the suspect  
 allegedly punched the senior citizen  
 and scratched the back of his head. 
 Cops took the woman in on felony  
 assault charges at 3:40 pm, according  
 to police reports. 
 Hefty hoax! 
 Some shyster scammed a Nassau  
 Street man out of $1.5 million dollars

 The  victim  told  police  that  he  
 wired the charlatan the massive  
 sum at 1:10 pm because the fraudster  
 pretended to be his lawyer in

 FORT GREENE-CLINTON HILL 
 My haul! 
 Some pilferer ransacked a man’s  
 truck at Grand Avenue on March 26. 
 The victim told police that he left  
 his company vehicle near Greene  
 Avenue at 11 am, and when he came  
 back about half an hour later, he saw  
 that someone had nabbed his phone,  
 wallet, headphones, and backpack. 
 Hammerhead 
 Cops collared a guy for allegedly  
 trying to break into an Atlantic  
 Avenue gas station on the night  
 of March 27. 
 A passer-by told police that he  
 saw the suspect hammering the  
 locks near Grand Avenue around  
 1:50 am, and when he walked up to  
 the man, he fl ed. 
 Police  caught  up  with  the  man  
 half  an  hour  later  around  the  corner  
 on Lefferts Place and arrested  
 him on felony burglary charges. 
 Backseat raider 
 Some lout fi lched valuables from  
 a woman’s car on Classon Avenue  
 on the morning of March 22. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  she  
 parked  near  Lefferts  Place  at midnight  
 and when she came back at  
 9:20 am, she found someone had  
 taken her phone, keys, and several  
 shirts and jeans. 
 Leering lurker 
 A creep stole a woman’s credit  
 card on Downing Street on March  
 21. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 sleaze followed her while cat-calling  
 and asking for money between  
 Putnam and Gates avenues at 9:30  
 pm, so the victim threw her credit  
 card at him, which he picked up and  
 ran off. 
 Locked up 
 Police arrested a man they say  
 cleared out another man’s Grand  
 Avenue storage unit on March 21. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  the  
 suspect allegedly stole guitars, an  
 amplifi er, and a bike from near  
 Park Avenue, getting off with a total  
 of $10,300 worth of goods. 
 Cops caught up with the man in  
 question on March 24 at the storage  
 facility and arrested him for felony  
 grand larceny, according to police  
 reports.

 BENSONHURST—BAATH BEACH 
 Violent intervention 
 A man broke his roommate’s  
 jaw during an argument about the  
 roommate’s  drinking  habits  inside  
 an 81st Street apartment on March  
 10. 
 The 63-year-old victim told police  
 that the 49-year-old attacker socked  
 him in the face several times during  
 their dispute in their apartment between  
 New Utrecht and Eighth Avenue  
 at 7:55 am, breaking the victim’s  
 jaw. 
 Knifed! 
 A man slashed his acquaintance’s  
 face inside his 20th Avenue  
 apartment on March 27. 
 The  victim  told  police  that  his  
 drunk friend walked into his room  
 in  his  apartment  on  the  corner  of  
 67th Street just after midnight and  
 slashed the left side of his face and  
 neck with a large knife, before trying  
 to cut his abdomen, where he  
 left only a superfi cial cut.

 Special victims detectives in  
 Flatbush are looking for the violent  
 man they say assaulted and  
 attempted to rape a young woman  
 inside an apartment building stairwell  
 early Saturday morning. 
 Law enforcement sources said  
 the suspect attacked the victim at  
 about 2:42 am on March 27 inside  
 a residential building in the vicinity  
 of Beverly Road and Rogers Avenue. 
 According to police, the creep  
 followed the 24-year-old woman  
 from  the  street  into  the  building  
 and through the lobby. Once  
 she got inside the stairwell, cops  
 said, the brute attacked — punching  
 her in the face multiple times,  
 then slamming her head against  
 the staircase. 
 While on the stairs, cops said,  
 the perpetrator proceeded to sexually  
 assault the woman, causing  
 her to scream and yell. He then  
 bolted from the scene in an unknown  
 direction. 
 Offi cers  from  the  67th  Precinct  
 and EMS units responded  
 to the incident. The victim was  
 treated at the location for minor  
 injuries,  including  lacerations  
 and pain. 
 Police  have  since  released  a  
 grainy  surveillance  camera  image  
 of the suspect, described only  
 as a Black man.
