A gunman opened fi re on Surf
Avenue on Sept. 9.
The victim told police he was
driving west on Surf Avenue near
West 30th Street at 10:50 p.m., when
a round hit the drivers-side door, police
said.
The driver did not sustain any injuries.
Mr. Knife Guy
Cops are searching for the
bruiser that punched and stabbed a
woman inside a Surf Avenue bodega
on Sept. 14.
The victim told police the she
was arguing with the brute inside
the deli near W. 30th Street at 9:15
a.m., when he punched her and then
plunged a knife into her chest and
arm.
Phone swap
A thief stole the phone off a sleeping
straphanger aboard a southbound
Q train on Sept. 11.
The victim told police that he
boarded the train with his phone,
but when he woke up from a fourhour
nap at the Stillwell Avenue station
at 2 p.m., he discovered his cell
had vanished, police said.
Car jacker
A burglar snagged $1,000 and
other valuables from a car’s center
console on Brighton Third Street on
Sept. 8.
The victim told police that when
he entered his car parked between
Ocean View Avenue and Brighton
Beach Avenue at 2:00 p.m., he realized
his car had been tampered with
along with missing cash and sunglasses,
police said.

Two chains
Crooks nabbed two chains off
a man’s neck on Quentin Road on
Sept. 9.
The victim told police that two
thieves latched onto the chains
around his neck near E. 16 Street at
11:58 a.m., before hopping into a car
and peeling off, cops said.
Missing funds
Two burglars snagged $500 from
an Avenue U restaurant on Sept. 10.
Camera footage showed that
the two unknown men entered the
restaurant near E. 19th Street at
around 3:00 a.m., before taking off
with the money from the register,
police said.

A burglar looted $15,185 worth of
goods from an E. 18th Street apartment
between Sept. 12 and Sept. 15.
The victim told police that he left
for vacation on Sept. 12 and returned
to his home at 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 15,
when he noticed that the screen to
his kitchen window had been tampered
with and his passport and
various designer items were missing,

Caught
A home invader looted a Voorhies
Avenue home to the tune of $1,850 on
Sept. 11.
The victim told police that when
he walked into the kitchen of his
home near Haring Street at 5:45
a.m., he spotted the burglar prowling
around his home and the thief
immediately hightailed it, but not
before nabbing credit cards and liquor,
cops said.

Thieves robbed a delivery man
on Utica Avenue on Sept. 11.
The victim told police that he was
delivering a package to the home
near Avenue L at 12:20 p.m., the
crook nabbed $500 and two iPhones
off him, before fl eeing, cops said.
Car bandit
A crook looted a woman’s valuable
from her parked car on E. 53rd
Street on Sept. 9.
The victim told police that she
left car overnight near Foster Ave.
and Glenwood Road, and returned
to fi nd her wallet containing a debit
and credit cards was gone, cops
said.

Stone cold crime
Cops cuffed two men for allegedly
beating a man and throwing rocks
at him on 83rd Street on Sept. 12.
The victim said that the suspects
and another man stopped him on
the corner of 83rd Street and 14th
Avenue while he was jogging at 4:50
p.m, and hit him in the torso before
trying to throw a rock at his head.
The victim then ran away as the unapprehended
accomplice aimed another
stone at the victim, missing
him by a few feet, according to police.
Batters up
A brute repeatedly smacked a
man with a bat on Quentin Road on
Sept. 11.
The victim told cops that the ruffi
an approached him between W.
Third and W. Fourth streets at 12:45
a.m. and hit him with the bat, causing
lacerations to the back of his
head and his left eye. Emergency responders
transported the victim to
Maimonides Medical Center, where
he was treated for his injuries, according
to authorities.
Fake money
A fraud gave a man 24 counterfeit
$100 bills in exchange for his truck
on Bay 25th Street on Sept. 14.
The victim told police that he
met up the crook, who he connected
with on Facebook Marketplace, between
Bath and Cropsey avenues at
6:40 p.m. to sell his Chevy Silverado
truck.
The scam artist gave the victim
the fake cash and drove off in the car
before the victim realized the bills
were bogus, cops claimed.
Hardware bandits
Thieves thieves stole $6,654
worth of electrical supplies from a
hardware store on New Utrecht Ave
on Sept. 13.
An employee told police that the
bandits entered the store between
77th and 78th streets at noon, and
made off with the supplies in a gray
vehicle.

Smash and grab
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly
beating and robbing a man on Fifth
Avenue on Sept. 14.
The victim told police that the
suspect punched him in the head
near 41st Street at around 5 p.m., before
grabbing $200 and running off.
Police canvassed the area shortly
after, fi nding the man and arresting
him on felony robbery charges, according
to police reports.
Fast and furious
Cops arrested a man for allegedly
driving 110 miles per hour on the
Gowanus Expressway on Sept. 7.
Patrolmen stopped the motorist
for speeding in the 55 miles-perhour
zone near 44th Street at around
3:30 a.m.
Police arrested the man on misdemeanor
charges of reckless endangerment,
according to police reports.
Subway scumbag
A bruiser assaulted an intoxicated
straphanger at a Fourth Avenue
train station on Sept. 14.
The victim told police that the
brute punched him repeatedly and
kicked him in the rib cage at the station
near 25th Street at around 3:45
a.m.
First responders arrived on the
scene and took the victim to Langone
Medical Center for treatment
of non life-threatening injuries, according
to police reports.
Cuffed car thief
Police arrested a woman for allegedly
attempting to break into
cars on 50th Street on Sept. 11.
A witness told police that the
woman was allegedly attempted to
enter several different vehicles between
Fifth and Sixth avenues at
around 1:30 a.m. before gaining access
to a grey Honda Odyssey.
Police arrived on the scene
and arrested the woman on felony
charges of unauthorized use of a motor
vehicle.
Noise arrest
Police arrested a motorist for
allegedly playing music loudly on
Fifth Avenue on Sept. 10.
Patrolling offi cers pulled the motorist
over between 47th and 48th
streets at around 7:50 p.m, for allegedly
blasting music that could be
heard for blocks around, before attempting
to arrest him, according
to police
The suspect pulled his arm away
in an effort to evade arrest, and Police
charged him with misdemeanor
resisting arrest and creating a public
nuisance, cops said.
Chomped
Police arrested a woman for allegedly
biting her boyfriend in a
Prospect Avenue apartment on Sept.
11.
The victim told police that he
was arguing with this girlfriend between
Seventh and Eighth avenues
when she allegedly scratched his
neck and bit him on his shoulder at
around 5 p.m.
Cops arrested the woman later
that day on misdemeanor assault
charges, according to police reports.
