A ruffi an hit a man with a belt on
62nd Street one hour later on May
29.
The victim told police that the
baddie started an argument with
him at the corner of Utrecht Avenue
at 8:05 pm, before smacking him
with his belt.
The victim told cops he suspects
the man was his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.
Precinct pilferer
Cops re-cuffed a man at the 62nd
precinct for allegedly stealing $100
from another detainee on May 29.
The victim told police that the
thief nabbed the cash from the
man’s jacket while he was sleeping
in their shared cell at the precinct
on Bath Avenue and Bay 22nd Street
at 10 pm.
Cops strip searched the defendant
and found the cash on the inside
of his shorts waistband strip,
authorities said.
Close call
Two gun-wielding men nearly
robbed a fi nancial services store on
Bath Avenue on May 29, but alarms
scared them off.
An employee told police that the
perps pushed her to the ground inside
the Payomatic by 21st Avenue
at 7:55 am. The would-be robbers
told her to turn off the alarm, but
she didn’t — causing the alarm to
ring out, and the thieves to fl ee.
Electronic escape
Two bandits stole $3,679 worth of
electronics from a 76th Street apartment
on May 30.
The victim told police that one
of the crooks entered the apartment
through a window between 19th
and 20th avenues at 3:02 am, before
snagging various electronics and
hopping out.
The victim saw the perp and an
accomplice run eastbound on 76th
Street.

Door Dash
Two crooks snatched a food order
from a delivery man at W. 31st
Street apartment building on May
25.
The victim told police that the
lotus claimed the food was theirs
inside the lobby of the building between
Mermaid and Surf Avenues
at around 5 pm, before grabbing the
grub and running off.

A snake broke into an Oceana
Drive West apartment building and
fl ed without stealing any belongings
on May 30.
The victim told police the thief
broke into their home at the intersection
of Coney Island Avenue at
around 2 am, but woke up his son
sleeping on the couch, who screamed
and alerted his parents.
Tire takers
Thieves swiped four Michelin
tires from a vehicle parked on 27th
Avenue on May 24.
The victim told police that he left
his car locked at the intersection of
Shore Parkway at around 11:50 pm
and returned to fi nd robbers had
stripped the car of the $3,000 tires.

Cycle of violence
Some knave ambushed a cyclist
in MetroTech Center on May 25.
The victim told police that he
pulled over his bike after the trickster
asked for directions between
Lawrence and Bridge streets at
around 4:30 am, before the baddie
yanked his phone, punched him in
the face repeatedly, knocked him
to the ground, before grabbing his
wallet and making a run for it.
Lobby looter
Cops arrested a man they suspect
of trying to ransack a building
entrance at Schermerhorn Street on
May 27.
A witness told police that the suspect
got into the lobby near Boerum
Place at 3:30 pm and allegedly took
several packages.
When someone caught him in
the act, he dropped his bounty and
dashed — but cops caught up with
him and cuffed him on felony burglary
charges.
Hog rob
Some fi lcher stole a man’s motorbike
at Warren Street on May 26.
The victim told police that he
chained his two-wheeler to a gate
between Bond and Nevins streets,
but somebody stole it.

FORT GREENE-CLINTON HILL
Train slasher
Two brutes attacked a man on a 4
train near Fulton Street on May 26.
The victim told police that he
got into a fi ght with the villains on
the southbound 4 train near Flatbush
Avenue at 12:30 am, when one
sprayed him in the face with an unknown
substance while the other
slashed him in the face.
Paramedics rushed the victim to
Brooklyn Hospital for treatment.
Not good
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
attacking a guy with a bottle on
Myrtle Avenue on May 26.
The victim told police that the
suspect walked up to him between
Clinton and Vanderbilt avenues at
8:40 am, before allegedly hitting him
with the bottle and punching him.
Police caught up with the man
and arrested him on felony robbery
charges.

CARROLL GARDENS-COBBLE HILL–
RED HOOK
Car crook
A bandit stole $140 and personal
belongings out of a car parked on
Presidents Street sometime between
May 26 and May 30.
The victim told police that the
bandit entered the unlocked 2013
Volkswagen sedan parked between
Henry and Clinton streets and
nabbed her bag, change purse, a
computer case, and the cash.
Carjacking
A thief stole $500 worth of items
from a car parked on Columbia
Street sometime between May 31
and June 1.
The victim told police that the
burglar stole food, home supplies,
canned goods, and cosmetics and
$40 in cash from the 2011 Toyota on
the corner of Creamer Street.

Police offi cers shot a shooting
suspect in Crown Heights dead
on Tuesday night after he refused
repeated instructions to drop his
weapon when cops found him,
NYPD Chief of Department Terence
Monahan reported.
Ten offi cers who confronted
the 34-year-old suspect along Bergen
Street near Rochester Avenue
in Crown Heights all opened fi re
on him after pleading with him
to drop his weapon for more than
a minute, which he ultimately refused
to do, Monahan said.
The shooting was not related to
the ongoing police brutality protests,
one of which was less than
three miles away from the scene
during the time of the shooting.
Law enforcement sources said
the unnamed perpetrator shot a
man just before 9:26 pm along Bergen
Street. Offi cers responded to
the location after the gunshot set
off the NYPD’s ShotSpotter detection
system.
Upon arriving at the location,
they found the unidentifi ed victim
wounded at the corner of Rochester
Avenue and Bergen Street.
Paramedics brought him to a local
hospital in stable condition. The
motive for the shooting remains
unclear.
The gunman’s weapon was recovered
at the scene.
The NYPD Force Investigation
Squad, which handles police-involved
shootings, is handling the
investigation.
