Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,
we’ve continued to combine BORO with our sister
publication, LIC Courier, so that we can highlight
local businesses, artists, changemakers and more.
This year has been hard on our local small businesses,
from restaurants to gyms to salons. We asked our readers
to show us how they’re supporting their favorite local spots
(page 10). If you’re itching to work out in person again, we’ve
rounded up a few western Queens fitness businesses that
have reopened with COVID-19 precautionary measures.
Whether you prefer yoga, rock climbing or CrossFit, we’ve
got your back (page 14). It’s the end of an era as the iconic
Silvercup Studios was sold to an investment group on the
