A villain hijacked a cab driver’s
car at gunpoint at the Navy Yard on
Flushing Avenue on Sept. 25.
The victim told police that his
passenger pulled out a gray fi rearm
inside the car near N. Elliott Place
at 3 pm, before forcing the driver out
of the vehicle and high-tailing it.
Authorities later recovered the
stolen vehicle at St. Felix and Fulton
streets, according to police.
Shooter on the run
Some rogue shot a man in the
groin on Fulton Street on Sept. 21.
A witness told police that a man
in a black hat, blue jeans, and blue
hoodie fi red a shot at the victim
near Adelphi Street just before 10
pm, before bolting away.
Paramedics rushed the victim to
Methodist Hospital for treatment,
according to police reports.
Not lit!
Police collared a man for allegedly
assaulting a woman with a candle
on Clinton Avenue on Sept. 24.
The victim told police that she
was arguing with the suspect at
Greene Avenue at 6:40 pm when he
allegedly grabbed the taper and
whacked her repeatedly.
Police arrested the defendant at
the scene on felony assault charges,
according to police reports.
Gang of brutes
Five fi ends brutally robbed a
teen at St. Felix Street on Sept. 23.
The 16-year-old victim told police
that the group of goons snatched his
cellphone and wallet near Fulton
Street at 3 pm while punching him
in the face and kicking him.
Bike bandit!
Some shyster stole a man’s $2,500
bike during a botched sale on Adelphi
Street on Sept. 23.
The victim told police that the
huckster responded to a Craigslist
ad to buy the two-wheeler between
Lafayette and Greene avenues at 2
pm, but the baddie hopped on to test
drive the bike and never returned.

A perp twisted a woman’s arm on
Washington Street on Sept. 24.
The victim told police that she
parked near Prospect Street just
before 6:30 pm, when the villain
waltzed up and said, “Give me your
keys or I’ll shoot you,” before bending
her wrist.

shop on Sept. 24.
The 65-year-old woman told police
that the nogoodnik walked up
to her on the sidewalk near Remsen
Street at 7:30 am and walloped her
in the face out of nowhere.
Battered
A bat-wielding brute viciously
attacked a man on Water Street on
Sept. 25.
The victim told police that the
ne’er-do-well grabbed a baseball
bat from his car during an heated
argument near the Empire Fulton
Ferry Park just after midnight, before
whacking the victim’s arm and
hightaling it off.

Some goon assaulted an elderly
man inside a jewelers on Court
Street on Sept. 26.
The 70-year-old victim told police
that the ruffi an grabbed him
and twisted his arm inside the shop
between Joralemon and Livingston
streets at 3 pm, before bolting.

Looters raided a Court Street
cafe on the night of Sept. 24.
The owners of the coffee shop
told police that the burglars busted
a window of the storefront between
Wyckoff and Bergen streets sometime
overnight, before rushing in
and grabbing $400 from the cash
register.

Shots fi red
A gunman shot a man outside of
a W. 33rd Street public housing complex
on Sept. 21.
The victim told police that
their shot spotter technology altered
them to the incident between
Bayview and Neptune avenues at
around 12:50 pm, where they found
the bloodied victim.
Cyclone snag
A bandit swiped $1,416 worth
of Cyclone hats and t-shirts from a
Surf Avenue store on Sept. 21.
The victim told police that the
lout threw a rock through the glass
door of the store between W. 16th
and W. 21st street at around 2:30 am
and grabbed the ill-gotten goods.
Pay up
A man hit his roommate with a
broomstick at their Brighton Fourth
Street apartment on Sept. 26.
The victim told police that he
and his roommate had gotten into
an argument about rent for the
apartment near Ocean View Avenue
at around 5:29 am, the bruiser
attacked the victim.

Violent robbery
Cops arrested a man for allegedly
strangling a female friend on
W. Ninth Street on Sept. 25.
The victim told police that her
acquaintance asked her for money
near Bay Parkway at 11:30 pm, but
when she refused, the suspect allegedly
choked her unconscious and
nabbed $100 from her bag.
Pipe down!
A teenager smacked two grocery
store employees with a metal pipe
on Avenue O on Sept. 22.
One of the victims told police
that the young brute hit him with
a metal pipe and skateboard during
an argument inside the store near
W. Seventh Street at 4 pm, and when
another employee tried to intervene,
the marauder smacked him too.
Trailer dash
Two pirates stole a U-Haul trailer
from a New Utrecht Avenue storage
space on Sept. 15.
Employees told police that surveillance
footage depicts the two
thieves hitching the trailer, worth
more than $1,000, to their motorcycle
at the facility by 15th Avenue at
1:45 am before driving off.

The NYPD is investigating the
death of a young girl after an armored
truck fatally struck her in
Bath Beach on Sept. 28.
Authorities responded to a 911
call at 4:25 pm regarding a pedestrian
struck at Bay 23rd Street and
Bath Avenue, where they found
7-year-old Ali Sama lying in the intersection.
“When I came out, I heard
screaming, the child was covered
in blood. She was under the wheel,”
said a witness.
Cops say that Sama was crossing
Bay 23rd Street while riding
her scooter when she the driver of a
2015 PeterBuilt Armored Truck hit
her while traveling southbound on
the same roadway. First responders
rushed Sama to NYU Langone Hospital,
where she ultimately died.
The driver remained at the scene
following the collision. No arrests
have et been made, and the investigation
remains ongoing.
Following the incident, safe
street advocates argued that city
transit leaders have failed to provide
adequate space for pedestrians,
which has lead to incidents like
the girl’s tragic death.
Sama is at least the 182nd person
killed in traffi c violence — and
the ninth child to die on a New York
City street this year, according to
Families for Safe Streets.
