COURIER LIFE, AUGUST 6-12, 2021 17
It’s time to socialize again!
Get out of the house, and
join your neighbors at Bulls
Eye Sports Pub on Flatbush
Avenue for some cold drinks
and summertime fun.
Clip this article to the refrigerator
so you don’t miss a
thing:
Friday, July 9th - New York
Ranger Stephane Matteau will
host a Meet and Greet. Matteau
scored two overtime goals in
the 1994 championship against
the New Jersey Devils, to end
the series. By doing so, he
chalked up big points with his
teammates and Ranger fans
everywhere.
He is held in high esteem
at Bulls Eye Sports Pub, too.
The bar’s owner, Lou Matteo,
says Matteau was the guest
bartender at the pub’s opening
day, September 2019, serving
the first drink to a patron. “He
did a great job,” he says.
Saturday, July 10th – Bar
Olympics. Test your skills
with beer pong, flip cup, corn
hole, and dart games.
PARTY GUIDE
Monday, July 12th – Meet
New York Mets Wally Backman,
a member of the 1986
World Series, who will be
available for photos and autographs,
starting at 7 pm.
“It’s a great way to meet a
legend,” says Matteo, “and the
most you pay for a picture and
autograph is about $10.” Prior
to COVID, fellow Mets player
Mookie Wilson hosted a popular
Meet and Greet.
Saturday, July 24th – Come
for a comedy show. There’s no
cover; just lots of laughs. The
names of the comedians will
be announced, and the show
will take place outdoors on
the beautiful, new patio, created
to allow people to socially
distance. Matteo has discovered
that a lot of patrons prefer
to stay outdoors, enjoying
frozen drinks like mud slides,
daiquiris, and pina coladas in
sunshine or beneath the stars.
This spacious 2,000-square
foot outdoor space features a
jukebox and television, too.
Monday, July 26th – Play
BINGO. The first number is
called at 7:45 pm. Don’t miss it!
Saturday, July 31st – Luau
Party. Enjoy a pig roast, tropical
drinks, music, and giveaways.
“Have fun, and get
Lei’d,” says Matteo.
Friday, August 6th – Meet
New York Rangers Ron Duguay
and Mike Keenan. Duguay
played his first six seasons
with the team, and was
recognizable for his long hair.
Keenan, as coach of the New
York Rangers in 1994, led the
time to the Stanley Cup championship.
The Meet and Greet
begins at 7 pm.
Saturday, August 7th – Post-
Pandemic Backyard Bash. The
Main Street Band performs
from 4 – 6 pm. Join the party.
Monday, August 30th –
Didn’t win the last BINGO
game? Try your luck at today’s
BINGO. The first number is
called at 7:45 pm. Be there!
DARTS – The bar has a Dart
Team which has been on pause
due to COVID, but they will be
operating a summer in-house
league, so come and check it
out. “This Fall, we hope to go
back to playing other bars,”
says Matteo.
You won’t leave the bar hungry
because there’s lots of bar
bites – personal pizzas, wings,
sliders, and chicken tenders, to
name a few.
Wash it down with $5 beers,
$8 frozen drinks, and wine by
the glass.
Expect a welcoming environment
where, “We are always
making things happen,”
says Matteo. “And there’s no
pretense and no trouble.”
It’s just a lively place where
everyone comes to have a good
time.
