A punk was arrested for taking
toiletries from a department store
on June 8 at Avenue U.
The perp snatched toiletries and
other personal items worth $1,204
at 3 p.m. at the store located at Flatbush
Avenue and E. 55th Street,
cops said.
The thief was cuffed at the scene
and the property was recovered at
the store, according to authorities.
Camera snatcher
A carjacker looted a parked car
on E. 24th Street on May 28, police
said.
The perp broke into the car,
which was left overnight between
New York Avenue and E. 35th
Street, and stole a $10,000 camera,
cops said.
Department store
baddie
A thief stole an iPhone valued at
$1,200 from a victim who left it on a
store countertop on June 8, police
said.
The victim left his phone at a
clothing store located between
Flatbush Avenue and East 57th
Street at 10 p.m., cops said. The victim
used a phone tracking app to
see that the phone in walking distance.
When the notifi cation from
the app was turned on, the application
was turned off, according to
the police.
Purse snatcher
A looter nabbed a purse from an
unlocked car in a parking garage
on Avenue U, according to police.
The perp broke into the parked
car on June 8, taking $3,000 worth
of property, according to authorities.
The victim was aware of the
stolen items when her bank texted
her about an attempt to use one of
her cards, cops said.

Bottle scars
A woman’s late-night meal
turned ugly when a crook struck
her with a bottle, leaving scratches
on the victim’s forehead and right
arm, police said.
The victim was enjoying her
meal on June 2 when the crook
fi red the bottle at her around 11
p.m. at the intersection of Ocean
Parkway and W. 1st Street, according
to authorities.
Laundromat thief
A burglar robbed a man of his
wallet while he was mid-spin cycle
on Avenue Z on June 2.
The victim left his wallet —
which contained his drivers license
and debit card — on top of
a washing machine around 8 p.m.
and went about his day. The victim
returned after realizing he didn’t
have his wallet, but it had already
been stolen, according to authorities.
Bruised and confused
A home invader broke in and
punched a man in the face at Brighton
12th Street.
The bruiser broke through the
door around 3 p.m. and began his
attack, while left the victim bleeding
and with bruises to his face, police
said. The victim did not go to
the hospital.
McBandit
A fast food bandit made off with
a woman’s iPhone, as well as her
drivers license and debit cards, on
June 2.
The thief struck when the victim
picked up her food at a McDonalds
on Mermaid Avenue. Police
said she had placed her phone on
the counter and walked out around
4 p.m.
The phone’s last known location
was in the Bronx and none of the
cards have been used, police said.

Green escape
A fi end broke into a resident’s
side kitchen window on June 7,
damaging plants and other items,
police said.
The break-in occurred in the
area of East 8th Street and Avenue
S around 1 p.m., according to
authorities, who said the housebreaker
fl ed the residency with
$2,500 in cash.
Failed robbery
Police arrested a man in connection
with a June 4 robbery on
Avenue U.
The suspect had been arguing
with the victim near the intersection
at E. 3rd Street, when he stole

$200 from the victim at 11:50 a.m.,
cops said. Police arrived on the
scene later and cuffed the suspect.
Punch and run
An intoxicated crook struck a
man in the head June 2 on Mermaid
Avenue.
The suspect approached the victim
around midnight between W.
15th and W. 16th streets and stuck
him in the left cheek, before stealing
his cell phone, cops said.
The perp fl ed the scene, leaving
behind the injured victim, who
was taken to Lutheran Hospital
with minor injuries, cops said.

Brotherly love
A man slammed his brother in
the head with a rock, on 86th Street
on May 30, causing a laceration.
The victim told police that his
brother came into his apartment
by 20th Avenue at 6:40 a.m. and
hit him with the rock, causing minor
laceration to the left side of
his head. The victim then alleges
that after he went to work, the
brute came back and damaged $250
worth of his clothing and stole $400
in cash, according to authorities.
Scrappy bandit
A thief swiped $10,000 from a
scrap yard on 63rd Street on June
5, police said.
The perp entered the scrap
yard’s offi ce between 15th and 16th
avenues at 1:50 p.m. and snatched
the cash before making off in a
white vehicle, according to authorities.
Subway sleazeball
A man pulled a woman’s hair
and threw her bag and cellphone
on the fl oor at the 86th street station
on May 13, cops said.
The goon walked behind her on
the platform, grabbed her bag, and
threw it on the ground, according
to authorities. The bruiser then
followed her onto the train and at
the next stop, pulled her onto the
platform, where he grabbed her
cellphone and smashed it against
the ground, police said. The victim
fell and hit her head on the bench,
according to authorities.
Bodega bum
A brigand stole $900 from a bodega
employee on 18th Avenue on
May 28, police said.
The thief allegedly went into the
bodega on 80th Street three times
asking for change for $100 before
entering at 8:20 a.m., going around
the register, and telling the victim
to give him the money or he’ll hurt
her child, cops said. When the bandit
couldn’t open the register, he
snatched $900 from her purse and
ran off, according to authorities.

Beer bottle baddie
A brute assaulted a man with a
beer bottle on 4th Avenue on June
5.
The baddie approached the victim
at a block party near the intersection
of 61st Street at around
10 p.m., and asked for a beer. The
victim refused, causing the perp to
grab an empty bottle and smash it
over the victim’s head, cops said.
First responders took the victim,
who suffered cuts and bruising
to his head, to a nearby hospital
for treatment, according to
police reports.
Motorbike bandit
A bandit stole a motorcycle that
was parked overnight on 5th Avenue
on June 6.
The perp made off with the
bike, which was left between 60th
and 61st streets, sometime between
midnight and 7 a.m., cops said.
Subway brute
A pilfer brutally robbed a
woman at a 4th Avenue subway station
on June 8.
The punk approached the
woman from behind while she was
waiting for the train at the station
near the intersection of 45th
Street. The suspect then grabbed
the woman by her neck, before
snatching her necklace and running
off, cops said.
Identity theft
A con artist used a 40th Street
women’s stolen identity to purchase
a cell phone late last year,
cops said.
The victim, who lives between
5th and 6th avenues, received a notifi
cation from her bank in the mail
on June 4 that her credit score had
dropped because she had opened
a new cell phone plan. The victim
knew nothing of the new cell phone
plan, which included a brand new
cellular device, cops said.
