SPEAKEASY JAZZ NIGHT
Join the New York Irish Center for a night
of live music at its makeshift speakeasy.
For its first in-person, public event since
the pandemic, the center welcomes in the
Josh Marcum Trio for an evening of jazz, in
celebration of New York City and Long Island
City, Queens. These Long Island City-based
jazz musicians will play two 45-minute sets,
with an intermission in between.

The 4th Annual Queens Underground
International Black and Brown Film Festival
features indie filmmakers from across the
globe with a special focus on local producers,

This adults-only film festival is the Halloween
edition, so costumes are a must. The event

During this eco-printing workshop, each

on silk fabric using eco-printing, a form

EXHIBITION: “ULRIKE MÜLLER: THE
CONFERENCE OF THE ANIMALS (A
MURAL)”
“The Conference of the Animals (A Mural)”
remains on view at Queens Museum of
Art and is an extension of a two-part
project that included “The Conference of
the Animals (An Exhibition of Children’s
Drawings)” curated by Amy Zion. A
selection of cityscapes done by children
reproduced from Zion’s exhibition was
installed on the surface of Müller’s mural,
along with three collagraph prints by Müller.
