8. ORCHIDS - TYPES AND CARE
This virtual event is hosted by Jocelyn
Perez-Blanco, the founder of Herban
Gardens. Participants will discuss the
different types of orchids and their basic

workshop will also go over various species

12. DEEPFAKES AND CREATIVE PLAY
This live, online conversation features three
Chris Umé, Carl Bogan (aka Myster Giraffe) and
Paul Shales (aka the Fakening), whose parodies
and Elon Musk are widely seen on YouTube
and social media. The group discusses what
inspires them, their technical approaches and
“murky ethical issues” related to deepfakes.

13. LOUIS ARMSTRONG LEGACY
MONTHLY JAZZ JAM
The Monthly Jazz Jam is making its return
to Flushing Town Hall. Jazz Jam is open
to professional jazz musicians, graduate
students studying jazz, music educators
and serious hobbyists. Musicians who
play any instrument and vocalists are
welcome and Flushing Town Hall is making
its Steinway baby grand piano and drum
kit available. Those who don’t play any
instruments are welcome to come to Jazz
Jam to watch from the audience.
