This story tells of the partnership between
Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington,
who in 1912 launched a program to build
public schools for African American children
in the segregated South. Andrew Feiler —
who drove 25,000 miles, photographed 105
schools and interviewed dozens of former
students, teachers and preservationists —
will do a visual retelling of this inspirational
story.
