7. VIVA CHINESE OPERA: AN
AFTERNOON OF CHINESE THEATER IN
CELEBRATION OF LUNAR NEW YEAR
In celebration of the Lunar New Year and
to ring in the Year of the Tiger, Flushing
Town Hall is hosting an afternoon of music,
culture and arts. This performance is a
collaboration with the Chinese American
Arts Council and includes seven renowned
and popular Chinese Opera plays, each
with unique storylines, music, vocal
performances, mime and dance.

9. MLK DAY OF SERVICE
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr,
Commonpoint Queens and UJA are hosting
a day of service. Participants can choose
between several activities including
decorating tea towers; packing hygiene and
self-care kits; making homemade paper
embedded with seeds; donating blood;
virtual storytime; making an upcycled tree
out of old magazines; a virtual dance party
with Brooklyn Nets Kid Resident DJ Annie
Red; and making origami doves, hearts and
cranes.

TACOS

11. HAYRIDE AT QUEENS FARM
Queens County Farm Museum invites all of
its visitors to explore its 47 acres of land
on a tractor-pulled hayride. Guests will sit
on a hay bale and get a special view of the
farm’s pastures, woody areas and growing
fields.
