Opened in 2011, Maspeth High School has
quickly grown into one of Queens’ most elite
high schools. The mission of Maspeth High
School is to teach a classical liberal arts and
sciences, college preparatory curriculum
that will train their students to become
critical thinkers and life-long learners with
strong character. They want their students to
become leaders in all areas of their lives and
be physically, emotionally and intellectually
healthy. Their core values are truth, goodness
and beauty. Their academic departments
include ballet, English, English language
learning, health and physical education,
history, languages, mathematics, music,
science, theatre and visual arts. Maspeth High
offers courses in classical languages like Latin
and Greek and encourages students to take
four years of language classes. Maspeth High
also has 17 sports teams including basketball,
soccer, lacrosse and more.

In addition to teaching students about dance
vocabulary, dance history and dance icons,
The Dance Project also creates fun events
to foster these aspects of learning. Events
range from group trips into Manhattan to
see plays to movie nights at the studio. The
Dance Project offers tap, jazz, ballet, modern,
hip-hop, pointe, acrobatics, musical theater
and more for students as young as two years
old. The Dance Project has proudly served the
Whitestone community since 1984, welcoming
students with a warm and nurturing
environment that lends itself to a positive
dance experience.

Berk Trade and Business School, with a facility
conveniently accessible to students throughout
