Man robs
elderly
woman in
Rego Park

The NYPD is looking for a man
who allegedly strangled and robbed
an elderly woman in Rego Park last
week.
On Tuesday, July 28, around 12:30
p.m., a 72-year-old woman was getting
mail from the lobby of her building
located near 64th Avenue and 98th
Street, when an unidentifi ed man
grabbed her neck from behind and
demand she turn over her property,
according to the NYPD.
The man then took her jewelry and
$60 in cash before running off in an
unknown direction, cops said.
The elderly woman was treated for
pain and bruising by EMS personnel
at the scene.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.
