Police are asking for the public's
help in finding a man
who attempted to rob a bank
in Bushwick on Tuesday.
At approximately 10:02 a.m. on Feb.
20, authorities said, the suspect entered
the Bank of America on Knickerbocker
Avenue near Stanhope
Street and approached a female teller.
The individual then passed a note to
the employee demanding money.
The teller refused the suspect's
written request, authorities said, and
then walked away from her station.
The perpetrator then fl ed the bank on
foot northbound on Knickerbocker
Avenue. Offi cers from the 83rd Precinct
responded to the incident.
Cops described the suspect as
a black man in his 40s, standing
approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall
with a slim build. He was last seen
wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt
and blue jeans.
