Police have released
a sketch
of the man
who attempted to
break into a Middle
Village house early
on Tuesday morning.
Law enforcement
sources said the trouble began at 2
a.m. on Oct. 16, when a 24-year-old
woman heard a noise coming from
near the back door of her home in the
area of 61st Road and 69th Street.
Upon further inspection,
authorities said, she spotted an
unidentified man attempting to
climb onto the second-story deck of
the house. She then banged on the
window, which police said startled
the intruder and caused him to fall.
The suspect then fl ed the scene in
an unknown direction.
Offi cers from the 104th Precinct
responded to the location; no injuries
were reported.
A police sketch artist drew up an
image of the intruder based on the
description that offi cers received.
The NYPD described the suspect
as a Hispanic man with short black
hair between 35 and 45 years of
age, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall
and weighing about 180 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a blue
hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
He’s still wanted as the Ridgewood
Times went to press on
Wednesday aft ernoon. If you know
where he is, call Crime Stoppers at
800-577-TIPS.
