Police from the 104th Precinct
in Ridgewood are looking for a
cyclist who was involved in an
alleged robbery on the aft ernoon of
Thursday, Sept. 30.
A 53-year-old man was at the corner
of Bleeker Street and Fresh Pond Road
in Ridgewood around 4:30 p.m. when a
man riding a black bicycle approached
him. As the suspect rode past the
victim, he punched him in the face,
causing the man to fall to the ground,
police said.
The assailant proceeded to remove
$100 from the victim before taking
off on his bike traveling westbound
toward Menahan Street.
Although the victim sustained
bruising to his face, he refused medical
attention, according to the NYPD.
The suspect is described as a man
in his 20s with a medium complexion,
weighing 150 pounds with a medium
build. He is approximately 5’9” with a
long black ponytail. He was last seen
riding the black bike, wearing black
sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt, a black
backpack and black sneakers, police
said.
No arrests have been made. The
investigation is ongoing.
