A 24-year-old man was caught on
video pushing a Doordash delivery
driver through the front glass window
of Corato pizzeria in Ridgewood
on the night of Sunday, Aug. 15, according
to authorities.
Police offi cers from the 104th Precinct
responded to a 911 call aft er the
assault inside the restaurant located at
66-94 Fresh Pond Rd. Upon arriving at
the scene, offi cers found the 57-yearold
delivery driver, who complained
of a dispute over a delivery with the
suspect, who could be seen on video
pushing him through a window.
The suspect, 24-year-old Sami
Abdelaziz, was arrested and charged
with assault and harassment.
The delivery driver suff ered multiple
lacerations and pain, according
to police records. He was transferred
to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was
treated for his injuries.
Abdelaziz is not an employee of the
restaurant, according to authorities.
Corato employees declined to
comment on the incident.
