Cops are searching for two
criminals who held up a man
at gunpoint inside his apartment
lobby in Ridgewood, forced
their way into his home, stole money
and the keys to his car, and drove
off in the victim’s car last weekend.
According to police, the two unknown
males approached the 38-yearold
male victim inside the lobby of his
apartment building on Norman Street
at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13.
Law enforcement sources said the
first individual pulled out a black firearm
while the second suspect put the
victim in a chokehold.
Authorities said the first suspect then
went to the man’s second-floor apartment
and forced his way inside at gunpoint.
There, officers reported, the perpetrator
threatened the victim’s 30-year-old wife
and their 7-year-old son. He demanded
money and car keys, and removed $1,300
in cash, two credit cards, and the keys to
the victims’ black 2017 Audi A6.
Both suspects fled the location in the
victims’ car, traveling eastbound on
Norman Street, cops said.
Police described the robbers were
described as Hispanic males believed
to be 20 years of age; one stands 5 foot
8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds
with a thin build and a light complexion,
and the other stands 5 foot
6 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
