Burglar gets plenty
of loot in Glendale

Detectives need the public’s
help in finding a burglar
who broke into a Glendale
home and stole thousands of dollars
worth of merchandise last week.
According to authorities, a
21-year-old male victim returned to
his home on 73rd Place near Central
Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. on
July 2 and called police when he
discovered the lock to his front door
had been damaged.
Offi cers from the 104th Precinct
responded. During their investigation,
they determined that, earlier
the same day at approximately 8:50
a.m., an unidentifi ed man forcibly
entered the residence and placed
the victim’s property in a red SUV.
According to tweets from the
104th Precinct, the suspect stole
$27,580 in valuables, including
$12,500 in cash, an Armani watch,
assorted jewelry, an iPad 2 and a
pair of headphones.
The male suspect fled the location
in the red SUV heading westbound on
Cooper Avenue toward Myrtle Avenue.
Cops described the alleged burglar
as a black man who was last
seen wearing a white short-sleeve
shirt and dark pants.
