A native of Sicily, Italy, she was the beloved wife of Calogero Nastasi and dear sister of Diego Licata. He was the husband of the late Rose Zampelli, loving father of Frank Zampelli, Anthony Zampelli and Matthew Zampelli, father-in-law of Rose and Deborah, cherished grandfather of Amanda, Rachel, Vanessa, Anthony, Alexandra and Samuel and dear brother of Anna Morales and Theresa Pedula. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday, June 23, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth. +++ CAROLINE FARDELLONE died on Wednesday, June 18, at the age of 97.
