Cops seek
answers in
rape case

Detectives are investigating
the apparent sexual assault
of a 16-year-old girl who was
found unconscious and undressed
behind a Woodside warehouse
early on Sunday morning.
Officers from the 108th Precinct
found the victim on the street in the
vicinity of 47th Avenue and 70th
Street at about 2:30 a.m. on June 25.
According to law enforcement
sources, the victim was found
wearing only her bra and had her
underwear pulled down to her ankles.
Officers observed scratches
on her neck and back, and found her
clothing as well as an open condom
wrapper on the ground nearby.
EMS units reportedly brought her
to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police canvassed the surrounding
area for possible suspects, but
no arrests were made. According
to sources, the NYPD has obtained
footage from two nearby security
cameras for further examination.
The NYPD Queens Special Victims
Squad is conducting the ongoing
investigation. As of press time on
June 28, no arrests have been made.
