Burglars

Police are searching for a pair
of suspects who recently stole
parts from several box trucks
outside of a Maspeth warehouse.
According to authorities, the burglary
took place on May 13 at approximately
2 a.m. behind a warehouse
on Maspeth Avenue near Rust Street,
where the suspects stripped three
commercial box trucks for a variety
of parts.
The thieves allegedly stole headlights,
bumpers, engine hoods, truck
doors, three GPS systems and one tablet
device from the trucks, police said.
Sources familiar with the investigation
said that the crime was caught on
surveillance cameras, and the 104th
Precinct released images on May 22 of
the suspects and a truck involved in the
incident on Twitter.
At this time, police said the truck
depicted in the tweet is believed to have
been stolen by the suspects prior to this
incident and was subsequently used to
commit this crime.
The investigation is still ongoing.
