M Shuttle Trains Run Slower This Weekend The weekend M train shuttle between Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue- Broadway will operate every 20 minutes this weekend, from 4 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 19, until 10 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 20. This service change will be in effect each weekend through Apr. 27. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time. Weekend Interruption On J Line In Brooklyn Jamaica Center-bound J trains will operate express service between Marcy Avenue and Broadway Junction this weekend, from 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 19, until 10 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 20. This service change will be in effect each weekend through Apr. 27. It was noted that Jamaica Centerbound J trains will still make the Myrtle Avenue stop during this service change. For service to the Hewes Street, Lorimer Street, Flushing Avenue, Kosciuszko Street, Gates Avenue, Halsey Street and Chauncey Street stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue or Broadway Junction, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J train. For service from these stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue, Marcy Avenue (Unlimited MetroCard holders only) or Essex Street, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train. More Split Service On L Line In Bklyn. L trains will operate in two sections—between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction and between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway—on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 a.m. until 3:05 p.m. through Tuesday, Apr. 29. Riders can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip. It was noted that all L trains between Rockaway Parkway and Broadway Junction will operate every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time. Skipped Stations On E & F Lines In Qns. Jamaica Center-bound E trains and Jamaica-bound F trains will skip the Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue stations from 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 22, until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Apr. 23, and again from 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 24, until 5 a.m. Friday, Apr. 25. During these periods, Jamaicabound F trains will also skip the Sutphin Boulevard station. For service to these stops, take the E train to Union Turnpike or Jamaica- Van Wyck or the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or F train. For service from these stations, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaicabound F train. Late Night Express Affects The R Line Forest Hills-bound R trains will operate express service between Queens Plaza and 71st-Continental Avenues on Tuesday and Thursday, Apr. 22 and 24, from 9:45 p.m. until midnight. These trains will continue to stop at Roosevelt Avenue. For service to the 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard, 65th Street, Elmhurst Avenue, Grand Avenue, Woodhaven Boulevard, 63rd Drive and 67th Avenue stations, take the R train to Roosevelt Avenue or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound R train. For service from these stations, take the R train to Roosevelt Avenue or Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Forest Hills-bound R train. Switch Of Lines For Man.-Bound F Trains Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run on the F line between West Fourth Street in Manhattan and 21st Street-Queensbridge this weekend, from 11:30 p.m. Friday, Apr. 18, until 5 a.m. Monday, Apr. 21. As a result of this service change, there will be no Jamaica Center-bound E train service at the Court Square- 23rd Street or Queens Plaza stations. For service to these stations, transfer to a free shuttle bus at 21st Street- Queensbridge. Late Night Switch For E & M Trains To Man. Manhattan-bound E trains will run on the F line between 36th Street in Queens and West Fourth Street in Manhattan late nights on Thursday, Apr. 17, from 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. Additionally, Middle Villagebound M trains will also switch to the F line between 36th Street and West Fourth Street on Monday through Thursday from 9:30 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. F Trains Run Local During Overnights Jamaica-bound F trains will make local stops between 21st Street- Queensbridge and Roosevelt Avenue late nights on Friday, Apr. 11, and Tuesday, Apr. 22, through Thursday, Apr. 25, from 12:30 until 5 a.m. Service, however, will operate normally on Thursday, Apr. 24. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time. Late Night Service Slowed On G Line All G trains will operate every 20 minutes in both directions late nights, Monday through Thursday, from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Thursday, May 8. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time. Weekday, Weekend N Train Disruptions Manhattan-bound N trains will skip the 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue and 39th Avenue stations on Thursday, Apr. 17, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this period, Q trains will not operate between 57th Avenue and Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard. For service to the skipped stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train. Two lanes of traffic in each direction may be closed on weeknights from 12:01 until 5 a.m., Saturdays from 1 to 6 a.m. and Sundays from 1 to 9 a.m. Exit Ramp Closed Near Whitestone Br. The Third Avenue exit on the northbound approach to the Whitestone Bridge is closed to all traffic as part of a $109 million reconstruction project. Separate car and truck detours will be in place while the exit ramp is closed. Signs will be in place and traffic agents will be on hand when the detours begin. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately two years. Passenger vehicles driving from the northbound Cross Island Parkway will have to exit at Utopia Parkway (exit 34); those driving from the northbound Whitestone Expressway will need to exit past the 20th Avenue exit and merge onto the Cross Island Parkway.
