Rivera announced. Applications can be obtained in person at Local Union #8, located at 12-11 43rd Ave. in Long Island City, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon during the recruitment period. Applications will be available for two weeks or until 200 applications have been distributed, whichever comes first. Applications must be postmarked no later than May 23. This includes the city’s five boroughs and Westchester, Rockland, Sullivan, Dutchess, Ulster, Orange and Putnam counties. It also includes the portion of Hudson County east of the Hackensack River in New Jersey. • Proof of minimum qualifications must be in the form of original documents and must be submitted at the time of selection. • Must pass a drug test, at the expense of the sponsor, after selection and prior to indenture.
