Lugo Lounge, located at 108 Cypress Ave., and Casada Café at 675A Seneca Ave., each received four summonses for various violations observed by investigators, authorities noted. Finally, police issued a summons to Alvarado Grocery, located at 1683 Madison St., which allegedly operated an illegal social club in the basement. Its manager—Kerolos Boulos, 22, of Ridgewood—was by Robert Pozarycki Five Ridgewood businesses received a combined 23 summonses for various violations during a widespread law enforcement operation recently conducted by the 104th Precinct and several government agencies, police announced last Thursday, Apr. 10. The MARCH (Multi-Agency Response to Community Hotspots) operation took place on Apr. 5 at “multiple nightlife establishments where there has been complaints from the community or summonses were issued in the past,” Det. Thomas Bell of the 104th Precinct Community Affairs Unit stated in an email. Joining the 104th Precinct in the sting were representatives of the State Liquor Authority, the city Buildings Department, the city Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the FDNY, the Department of Environmental Protection and the Legal Bureau. Officer At 104COP Meeting Patrol Eyes Knockdown Center by Matthew Van Deventer Members of the 104th Precinct Civilian Observation Patrol met the 104th Precinct’s new executive officer during the volunteer group’s meeting last Thursday, Apr. 10, at St. Pancras Pfeifer Hall in Glendale. Capt. Timothy Brown previously served at the 109th Precinct based in Flushing. He showed his sincere gratitude for the work of the civilian patrol and stressed the necessity of an open conversation between the patrol and the precinct. The 104th Precinct’s top cop, Capt. Christopher Manson, also spoke briefly on the Knockdown Center at 52-19 Flushing Ave. in Maspeth. He expressed hope that the center’s owners would become more a part of the community. As of late, the center has become a growing concern of Community Board 5 as the arts venue applied for a liquor license and plans to host large events that may come with security complications. The woman pictured in this surveillance camera image is wanted by police for recently stealing a woman’s handbag at a Rego Park shopping mall. The theft reportedly occurred at 7 p.m. on Apr. 8 inside the Aldi supermarket at Rego Center, located at 61-35 Junction Blvd. Reportedly, the suspect—a Hispanic female standing 5’-tall and weighing 135 lbs.— removed a handbag from a 34-year-old woman’s stroller while the bag was left unattended. The theft was reported to the 112th Precinct.
