It was noted that the charges against the persons listed in this blotter are accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. 104th Precinct Blotter 102nd Precinct Woodhaven, Kew Gardens, Ozone Park and Richmond Hill Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Injured Woman In Richmond Hill Police have released video footage of a Richmond Hill hit-and-run that left a 63-year-old woman seriously injured. An SUV was traveling eastbound on 89th Avenue near Lefferts Boulevard about 8:45 a.m. on Sunday when the car hit the woman, police said. The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in serious condition, but is likely to survive. Authorities said the driver fled the scene eastbound on 89th Avenue. They are still searching for the vehicle, a 2013-15 dark gray Nissan Pathfinder SUV. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are strictly confidential. 110th Precinct Corona, Elmhurst, Woodside Truck Driver Charged In Fatal Elmhurst Hit-&-Run An eyewitness helped catch an unlicensed truck driver who struck and killed a woman in Elmhurst Sunday night after the man fled the scene, police said. The incident happened about 10:40 p.m. at the intersection of 76th Street and Woodside Avenue. A Mitsubishi box truck was traveling southbound on 76th Street and was making a left turn onto Woodside Avenue when it hit the woman, police said. The woman, whose identity has not been released by police, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver fled after striking the woman, but an eyewitness reportedly chased down the truck. The driver, 27-year-old Valentine Gonzalez, was nabbed just blocks away, at 73rd Street and 41st Avenue, and taken into custody, police said. Gonzalez was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license. 108th Precinct Maspeth, Long Island City, Sunnyside and Woodside Arrest Man For Deadly LIC Attack A man is in police custody after turning himself in for a fatal beating in Long Island City last Friday, authorities said.K aheem Addison, 29, of Huntington Station, Long Island, allegedly got into a dispute with Jose Antonio Cocuyo-Malaga, 32, about 2:30 a.m. at 50th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard, which turned violent. Police found Cocuyo-Malaga unconscious and unresponsive with head trauma upon their arrival. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Law enforcement sources did not confirm what caused the fight, but according to the New York Post, Cocuyo- Malaga, a married father and chef from Astoria, was attacked after he tried to catch a ride from what he thought was a livery cab. Addison got out of the car and “rushed” Cocuyo- Malaga, the Post stated, and, as they struggled, his head was slammed into the sidewalk. Addison then fled. Witnesses then alerted police at the 108th Precinct, which is just around the corner on 50th Avenue, reports said. Addison turned himself into the same precinct station house with his lawyer by his side on Saturday, according to police.
