According to authorities, Police Officers Jack Dagnese and Sean Christian of the 104th Precinct stopped 25-yearold Antonio R. Lopez of Kingsborough 7th Walk in Brownsville after observing him behind the wheel of a 2012 Honda vehicle speeding through the intersection of Cypress Avenue and Summerfield Street at about 12:20 a.m. The officers stopped Lopez without incident a short distance later and reportedly observed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vchicle. Police said Lopez allegedly admitted to having marijuana in his jacket, which the officers recovered, and allowed them to search the car. Moments later, law enforcement sources noted, the officers found a Smith and Wesson .38-caliber firearm in the glove compartment. The gun (pictured above in a photo posted on the 104th Precinct’s Twitter account) was reportedly loaded with three live rounds. Upon further investigation, police determined the weapon was reported stolen in Suffolk County in June 2013. Lopez was arrested on charges of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and various traffic violations. Judge Michele Armstrong ordered him held on $10,000 bail during his arraignment last Wednesday. 83rd Precinct Bushwick Groper Cops Feel On Street The NYPD is looking for the man pictured below who sexually assaulted a woman at a Bushwick intersection last month.
