The Greater Ridgewood Historical Society will hold all day programs at the Onderdonk House Saturday. There will be a program for children of all ages to make vintage valentines from noon to 4 p.m. And, in the evening from 6 to 9 p.m. there will be candlelight tours of the Onderdonk House and grounds with love songs and special treats. 1820 Flushing Ave., Ridgewood, off Onderdonk Ave. Get a good view of all kinds of birds during the Urban Park Rangers’ special guided tour of the Ridgewood Reservoir this Saturday at 11 a.m. The reservoir is located off the intersection of Highland Boulevard and Vermont Place in Highland Park. For centuries, Chinese people have celebrated Lunar New Year at local temple fairs. Flushing Town Hall highlights this tradition with a celebratory bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. that begins with a lion dance and includes dazzling performances, music, dance, magic, and martial art. Attendees can participate in crafts workshops and bring handmade Chinese art home. This event features a one-hour program with professional artists and students of NYCCC’s School of the Arts as well as a one-hour visual arts demonstration.
