Parker, Altice bring free Internet access to church

Senator Kevin Parker, who
represents Brooklyn’s ethnically
diverse 21stdistrict, has partnered
with Altice to bring free
high-speed Internet access in
the computer lab of Cornerstone
Baptist Church, 574 Madison
St. in Brooklyn.
The politician and the technology
company’s Pat Hayes,
vice president Of Government
for Altice, also presented high
school seniors, Jeremy Chavis
of St. Francis Preparatory High
School, and Corinth of Brooklyn
High School Of The Arts,
and members of Cornerstone
Baptist Church, with laptops,
during a recent presentation in
the Church’s annex.
Noting that access to education
and technology is
very important, Sen. Parker
expressed thanks to Altice for
partnering with his office and
making this initiative a priority.
“I applaud Altice for their
commitment to community
work. I look forward to
expanding access to high-speed
Internet service and providing
more students with computers
throughout the 21st Senate District,
and the surrounding areas,
promised Sen. Parker, whose
district encompasses, sections
of Flatbush, East Flatbush, Midwood,
Caribbean L 32 ife, March 13-19, 2020
Ditmas Park, Kensington,
Windsor Terrace, and Park
Slope.

place of worship, but serves as a
neighborhood resource as technology
